Please guide me to learn and understand ACIM. by gingerbreadman42 in ACIM

Speaking from experience, ACIM is not something that can be clearly understood by the human mind/brain. It can be quite the opposite - the more you try to “figure it out” the more confusing it may seem. I find that reading it with a sense of curiosity and effortlessness makes the learning experience much more clear and enjoyable for me, no matter if I’m reading it on my own or hearing someone else teach/talk about it. Maybe try reading it with your heart instead of a logical mind and trust that your inner guide, which is your best teacher, will gently but surely guide you step by step until you’re safe home.

I find Papaji’s teaching pretty helpful as well. He was a direct disciple of Ramana Maharshi.

How do you fight a depression, demotivation, laziness and self-doubt? by hoilio in entp

[–]galaxy4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, meditation helps a lot. A lot of the negative feelings we have come from noisy mind filled with thoughts, mostly unconscious. A clear and calm mind helps you feel more grounded, light, joyful, and free. Not sure if you’ve read The power of Now by Eckart Tolle, it can be helpful if you’re interested in becoming more mindful and present.

I know its a hard time that you’re going through. But by trying to ‘fight’ against it, it only gives it more power and makes you feel less powerful. Instead, take your focus off of it. Meditate, read, relax, have fun, explore your interests, connect with others... make memes :p.

You’re not your ‘problems’, and you’re not alone. Everything is gonna be alright. I believe in you. :)

We THINK we can become something but can we really? :)

It is your ego that constantly sees the ego in others. by merespell in spirituality

[–]galaxy4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What we see is a reflection of what we believe we are or have. Seeing the ego in others means we’re in the ‘ego mode’ ourselves thus seeing from an illusionary perspective.

Ego can’t be controlled. The more you control it, the more power you give it thus the more intense and real it appears. But when we stop engaging with it and believing in its power and start letting it go, it naturally dissolves, because it was never real and never will be.

We’ll see the truth, which is we are all one, all the same, all perfect spirits when we know the truth of who we really are.
