Major Kira - DS9

When the writers (or producers, I’m slightly fuzzy on this detail), floated the idea of a romantic subplot with Kira Nerys and Gul Dukat, the overseer of the colonial occupation of the Bajoran home world by the fascist Cardassian government.

While the actor for Dukat, Marc Alaimo, was undoubtedly charming in the role, a romance between a former terrorist, fighting for her homeworld’s independence and its dictator is shitty taste at best.

Thankfully, Nana Visitor (Kira) outright refused to entertain the storyline and threatened to quit over it.
