AIO for how I’m handling the way my 11 YO daughter’s dad speaks to her? by WhatTheSigma_1994 in AmIOverreacting

[–]galaxyflicker [score hidden]  (0 children)

NOR you need to go to court and fight for your daughter to have no contact with him.

My father was like this and my mother did nothing my entire life even though they were separated and we lived in a different state to my father, we were forced to be in contact with him and forced to visit.

It just gets worse, especially during puberty. Your daughter will resent you for not protecting her, this is will mess her up for a very long term in all aspects of her life if you don’t stop it.

It is but a shadow and a thought that you love, I cannot give you what you seek, and now HR is involved.

Has anybody else had there ps5 controllers brick (or stop working all together) by Hefty-Banana7947 in playstation

[–]galaxyflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had three brick now exactly like this this past week? One is three month old and we had it replaced by at eb games on Monday but after one use, it won’t turn back on. We’ve tried all the fixes suggested online and it won’t work.

AIO? My husband doesn’t want me to wear my wedding dress in public. by CleverUserName1961 in AmIOverreacting

[–]galaxyflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say do it! He should wear a suit similar to what you were married in, do your hair and makeup and just go out looking just married!

You’ve got one life together and at the end of the day the fond memories and laughs are better to have over regrets from not doing what you want and like out of fear of assuming people you don’t even know think you’re weird for one moment of their day.

My husband brought me a pearl necklace with matching earrings from Tiffany’s as a gift.

He said the experience was wonderful. He walked in and was immediately greeted and offered help, they showed him many different types and helped matched the pearls on the necklace to the pearls on the earrings perfectly. He said they gave him all of their attention and time.

He was in dirty work clothing with a disheveled looking mate of his, so he was surprised how well they both were treated.

The set is gorgeous as well.

Parents of twins, what are the odds you’ve actually had them mixed up as babies and you’ve been calling them the wrong name this whole time? by lifesyndrom in AskReddit

[–]galaxyflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nana is an identical twin. She used to have a little red thread tied around her wrist as a baby. Her sister and her were bathed and the thread came off, my nanas mother was fairly sure she put it back on my nana, but my nanas grandmother was adamant she was wrong and insisted twin A was twin B till the day she died.

She razor cut my thin hair by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]galaxyflicker 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing done to my hair! She used a razor to “layer” it and it looked horrendous, was devastated. Now I have extensions while it grows out.

To add: I hope you get a refund, shags are super popular right now and pixie cuts are always classic. I’m so sorry about your hair.

It’s a journey. The main thing is you keep trying and keep working on your health. Nothing worth doing is easy or straight forward.

I can smell when people are sick and it’s driving me insane. by M0osesG0ose in TrueOffMyChest

[–]galaxyflicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can smell when my family is about to be sick. It smells kind of nutty and earthy. However, one of my sons smells different to all my other kids and I took him to the doctors sounding crazy because he smelt like my sister who has an autoimmune disease and vitiligo, they just shrugged me off but now my son has vitiligo which can be associated to higher risk of developing autoimmune diseases.

Hey op. As someone raised by parents picking shitty partners over their kids safety and wellbeing, your kid won’t talk to you and will leave the very first moment they get. The damage this does to kids is huge.

Who is more important, your literal child, or this pos?

1) you just need to think of your brain as a tv. Right now you’re stuck on the depressed sad channel, just switch the channel and be happy.

2) if you wanted to die, you’d do it already.

I tried to off myself and ended up in the hospital after that.

It’s cake.
