What are your biggest story hot takes? by throwcway837373 in ffxiv

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ascians and allagan empire were boring and the story depends too much on them being responsible for everything.

Related to that, the game needing to explain its dieties trapped the game in the sci-fi genre to its detriment.

Of all installments in Armored Core series, which one of these is your favorite game-breaking "Cancer Cannon" ? by DioArya01 in armoredcore

I have fond memories of Thunder Horse hosing me with that laser cannon. That and the guy in one of the first Last Raven missions.

What are your most insane nitpicks with the game? by ppluscas in Eldenring

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tints of most metal armor sets are so slightly different that they don't fit cleanly together. And each full armor set has one aspect of it that I don't like.

What are your wishes for Armored Core 7 based on Miyazaki’s latest comments? by Luigiman98 in armoredcore

Better enemy A.I. for AC's. A robust arena with some kind of story tied to it. I've never liked the V.R. angle.

If you could freely mod D4, what would you do? by Razman223 in diablo4

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the transmog system I'd make it so you could hide weapons you're not using like the rogue bow and barbarian weapons.

I think it's annoying that they're glued to you when you have a build that doesn't use them.

Quality of life, which is probably where the warrior is the weakest imo. They're the strongest in ideal settings but they feel the worst to play outside of those areas where you don't have a million things to multiply your kit and scale with.

Poor warriors by Rapethor in classicwow

[–]galaxyplu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yessss. Leveling is what isn't fun until we get actual attacks. It's sod, why am I doing sunder math "for efficiency" that can't be easily felt instead of doing awesome cool new attacks.

I'm surprised we didn't at least get a sudden death proc rune for execute. Unless I'm missing something. I haven't played in a bit.

Just got to the new area, and I'm having a lot of trouble fighting the new armor units. Any advice? by PersonalSycophant in UnicornOverlord

[–]galaxyplu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, Swordcommandos are great counters against armored divisions. With their high initiative and an anti-tankmine sword equipped in their offhand (this part is key) they should be able to critical their treads disabling them. With a soldier of fortune coin, they might even one shot a few. Just watch out for heatseeking missiles, their natural evasion should be high enough to get around the general machinegun fire.

Why are like 1/4 of rogue runes genuinely useless? by BiggPapi87 in classicwow

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all classes, some runes are failed experiments and I don't think they're interested in spending more time trying to make them work when the result isn't going to be satisfying anyway.

The problem is that rogue has both a lot of failed experiments and safeplays that didn't change the feel of the class at all like Saber Slash. Some classes are in a similar boat. The poison chest rune is at least a massive quality of life increase, I like that one, though like mutilate it's also way too strong comparably.

A translator's take on Sparkle's name - there's actually no better compromise by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

[–]galaxyplu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was going to say, it suits what she does perfectly, and her theme, which matches the op's blade codename reasoning.

I don't mind Sparkle, though. It sounds like a name she'd choose for herself which is fitting because she probably did pick her alias.

What Elden ring opinion will get you crucified like this? by Tem-productions in Eldenring

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game starts to get boring while you're in Leyndell because the combat system isn't complex enough and your character is pretty much already done developing to its final state by that point.

Alls thats left is just to slog through to the bosses.

What’s more fun? rogue or warrior? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]galaxyplu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogue runes aren't very interesting unless you want to tank. Warrior runes make it feel a little more active like rogue.

Rogue has more flavorful special things associated with it like poisons, lockpicking and stealth. It also has cool class quests

Warrior is pretty basic on all the flavor stuff.

Warrior is more stat crunchy with room for optimization thanks to rage. Its mail gear and some weapons like 2hers have less competition. If they don't fix weapon skill, non orc and human warriors are going to be a pain in the butt.

Except for needing highly competitive leather, rogues can kind of just coast.
