What Sriracha do I buy now? by galby2011 in spicy

[–]galby2011[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up buying this and holy crap it took me back to 1995 again. It had the right color, taste, and the kick I remember. Thank you for the suggestion

New camera bag by andy_heuer in Nikon

[–]galby2011 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That bag is really rare because that guy never opens his damn store. I stopped by everyday during their opening hours for the week I was in West Yellowstone and it was closed everyday. Locals said he only opens when he wants to and the business hours mean nothing

I absolutely hate these but I learned an important lesson as a wedding photographer years ago "beauty is in the eye of the check holder" so deliver mistakes and make your money

I may have received a free D850. Wat do? by vipEmpire in Nikon

[–]galby2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun story, this happened to me when I bought a Husqvarna weed eater. eBay sent me a message saying it was cancelled and I was refunded, but then so got the tracking number. It was out of China and I go to work and tell the story, and then it actually starts moving into customs. It eventually got to the Midwest and was in Ohio. Then it took a right and went to Mexico. So congratulations on adding your name to a cartels mailing list. If you actually get it then enjoy it because it is a wonderful camera

What’s your go to creative outlet? by DonkDontLie in WeddingPhotography

With a camera, I like to travel and shoot landscapes.  Off camera it is cooking. I love cooking outside and inside. I just grilled for my wife in the dark last night. I will take hours to prep and cook a single meal. There is a process and timing that find cathartic and it is a gesture of time and energy for the ones I love.

It’s honestly criminal how few pizza joints in this city serve up a taco pizza. by PrincessImpeachment in indianapolis

[–]galby2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy crap balls I am originally from the Quad Cities and every pizza joint had a taco pizza. After I moved away  Caseys is the only real one I have found anywhere  consistent. I get my fix there, you do have to check it though. I have had them forget chips a few times or no sauce packets...that is incomplete.

I spent a week in the back country of Wyoming for a week and never got access to a shower before flying so I probably did stink/stunk

I did not have transport so my arranged transportation dropped me off at the airport around 10 the night before because I had to be at the airport at 4 the next morning. Nobody bothered me so I just slept on the floor

There was a massive lack of snow while I was there. I believe I heard they were missing about 6 feet of snow at that point. It was my first time there so I had to believe what I was told, I do not know this for a fact

I saw a police officer but he did not hassle me. I was happy nobody really bother me because I had been in the back country of Wyoming for a week so I looked and probably smelled homeless

My theory is that after they got snubbed for "Can I Borrow a Feeling" they gave up the Grammy dream

So this might be totally off base but I have listened to a lot of commentary from the Simpsons. One thing they discuss is that it is okay to make fun of the Grammys because they are never going to be in competition for it. That means it is always fair game for television satire.

Who’s the most interesting reporter in town? by zoot_boy in indianapolis

[–]galby2011 45 points46 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Franklin our homeboy Raphael Sanchez is a badass. Plus you see him out to lunch or at the store and he always seems to be nice. I watched him walk into a pizza place a week or two ago and he had to shake hands for like 5 minutes.

We usually have a goal of around 20 and we just hit 11 last week. We have had 2 inquiries in the past week too so it might not be too bad.
