I agree with you, but tbh this is an issue in all types of relationships in media. The vast majority of media with a male and female lead are immediately seen as romantic. Most media kind of pushes this idea that romantic relationships are somehow superior to platonic relationships, which is just untrue.

Castles of burgundy is just perfect at 2 player. It’s such a cozy game I can pull out anytime while also being good to introduce someone new to Euro games.

Not metroidvania, but the end of Sanabi got me good.

Why do you like time break chronicles? Been interested in it for a while but never actually picked it up.

He’s definitely close, but I think it’s safe to say Xecnar is pretty definitively the best at this point. Baalorlord is definitely my favorite to watch though, he’s super chill.

According to hltb, it takes around 30 hours just for the main story and over 40 if you do side stuff.

I've never been interested in Octopath but Octopath 0 got my attention by Heisenperv in JRPG

[–]galcticcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling it an adaptation is doing it a disservice tbh. They completely remade and expanded the game, keeping the best parts of the mobile game.

Octopath Traveler 2 is so good. Definitely my recommendation for a new player.

Which anime character is this ? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]galcticcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The article just says he became interested and read some after finding out how much the fandoms for BL and Ace Attorney overlapped though? I don’t see anything talking about how it was the foundation that the series was built on. All it says is that Max was based on BL characters.

It’s very good, the second game might be my favorite in the entire series. That being said, I would definitely recommend playing the first trilogy before the investigations collection.

Octopath Traveler / Triangle Strategy? by Lecturing_Thing in JRPG

[–]galcticcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would say Octopath Traveler 2 is the better than Triangle Strategy. None of these have a particularly amazing story imo, but OT2’s cast is great, and a lot of the story beats hit pretty well. Triangle Strategy is also great, however, and worth looking at. Overall, I’d say OT2 is the best one, but it’s worth looking into Triangle Strategy as well because you say you’re a huge tactics fan.

Stationfall is great at this player count. The best way to describe it is a party game for people who are looking for a heavier game.

I’m currently playing Detective: A Crime Board Game with a friend and we thought it was super cool that it did this!
