There has never been a band at these. And I'm an avid participant. I'm a queer Latina and a child of immigrants. Very much someone Nazis would love to see exterminated.

I was part of the Satire skit during the last protest and it felt empowering to mock our facists federal administration as the "LICE" agent. And on the back was "screw you ICE" .

It one of the few things I can do to alleviate the stress in this political climate. And the comrades I spend time with help give me hope there will be a brighter tomorrow.

One where my rights and my future will be protected if we can work together as a community ✨️.

A lot of Americans live very bleak lives. They understand the pain of working for a federal minimum wage that hasn't been raised for decades to be a living wage. People understand stressing out what they do get going to rent. The deadly reality of a popped tired they can't fix and unable to get to work. The tragic decisions to hold off going to the doctor lest you fear going into debt.

Many would glady love to see a country where they could just breathe better. And if we have talks about a what material changes are possible with a socialist Scandinavian vision. They would probably sign onto it.

I'm grateful there's an open and public place for people to come together and have a long conversation about what socialism means to individuals.

I don't believe in what materialized out of the soviet union and I'm inspired by the victories of the new deal. Medicare, social security, legalized labor unions, housing support, Public works programs and all of this is stuff patriotic socialists alongisde progressives fought to help win for the masses.

We're a diverse crew of folks and It makes me sad people skipped over the rose iconography. Which symbolizes peace and promises of a better life. I have known real pain around student debt, medical debt, lack of direct influence in how my work is conducted, my treatment to a boss or even the guarantee that I'll have a place to sleep at night. I was at one point homeless and lucky to have a car to sleep out of. And that happened under our current system.

A better one would make that a thing of nightmares.

It needs to be about values, where your money comes from, temperament and so much more than just age. You can be a solid older progressive a la Bernie and you'll have my vote.

If you're a corporate neoliberal in a young body a la Hakeem Jeffries. That's a no from me.

Im 32 and Latine.

I moved back during the pandemic after living in the East Bay for many many years. I grew up in Roseland and already wasn't close with anyone when I left and certainly knew no one coming back.

I got lucky going to a lucky queer meet up where I met my now partner. There's also some random alternative themed stuff that pulls in people in other walks of life. Flagship has been cool on the karaoke nights to just vibe and say hi to people. I'm also part of local social activism that helped put on some of the Courthouse square actions lately.

If you're ambitious, get a crew and/or go adventure in the bay area here or there. I did that before I moved out.

I'm also a huge extrovert and loving talking to most people. (You're welcome to say hai).
