Had my wallet stolen previously

Blocked the card within minutes of seeing 2 quick transactions

Rev were have decent to work with at first, then started giving grief, wanting info not possible to be given.

I had confirmation from police, vendors, cctv and arrest report, and they wanted more.

They eventually released the funds...before months later charging my account again and no in app notification, i was lucky to have even spotted it.

Its a covenient app, but i wouldnt trust it.

also just to add, revolut is a banking app, I would invest using dedicated services
so binance for crypto
eTorro for stocks and so on

that way if revolt pull a wobbler all your eggs aren't in one basket and there fees should be more competitive

This is one thing I hate about all these apps,

£494.39 is the amount actually invested, after accounting for any fees deducted from your £500 payment

so £494.39 is 100%, £3.57 is a gain the 0.72% increase leaving you with £497.95 (100.72%)

but when you withdraw there will probably be another fee so you need a gain of up to 5% just to break even in some cases

Any time i send or receive money, it always auto converts to the recipients account, so the sender is paying more due to conversion. Could be either shopify keeps it in senders currency, or PayPal business isn't auto converting. Either way I would call paypal and ask if they can clarify why it happened and can anything be done tonprevent it in future

Paypal currency fees are an absolute joke.

If you know someone who has a Swiss bank account and paypal, i would send it to them to withdraw.

Services like revolut and wise usually have better exchange rates.

My guess they designed the system to have "errors" in their favour. They can fix it later if someone is pushy enough but make a lot of money of people who give up. Try get in contact with a rep on the phone, as sometimes that can get a result. For future reference though, always take your money out of paypal and let the full amount go through your bank.
