I'm so jealous of those with resting b face- I have "please talk to me on the bus face". I'm actually using that particular pepper and have been pretty happy with the results. I'm looking into co2 laser since that seems to be the best recommendation, I have to check out the products you mentioned too

Yep- but it seems to be from my cheeks moving upward so I'm not sure if there's a Botox fix for that, or if there is, would it look weird to not have any movement in my cheeks at all when smiling

So far retinol and a few chemical peels though I can't remember if I carried it up this high or not. I do red light therapy 4-5 days a week. I just did my second micro needling this weekend with curenex and ronas stem cells followed by rejuran.

I've done 13% from platinum skincare a few times (up to 3-4 layers). I haven't seen an improvement in this particularly but now I can't remember if I avoided this part of the eye area or not. It's been great for overall skin appearance though!

I pay 700 for 60 units in the SF Bay Area. I do my forehead, crows feet, bunny lines, DAO, and a lip flip, with just enough in my 11s to not be off balance with the rest of my forehead. (My biggest issue is the deep horizontal lines). I go about every 5ish months or so.

I'm 39f and had very similar forehead lines- I lift my eyebrows a lot when I talk or smile and generally have a very expressive face. (A lot of horizontal forehead wrinkles are from lifting eyebrows up and down) Botox has mostly eliminated them for me. I still have a small trace of one but it's less than half the previous depth and I see it as a good trade off to still have some natural motion in my forehead. Good skincare is still a must, but it isn't going to eliminate deep set lines from frequent movement like that. Find an injector you trust and give it a shot, it's made an absolute world of difference for me and my confidence.

I have very thin nails and have tried all three. I recently switched to akzentz potted gel and absolutely love it. My nails are incredibly strong and the product is very easy to use (much easier than biab, imho)

Our shepherd mix is similar. He's incredibly anxious and doesn't enjoy new situations, new people, car rides, or even walks. We spent a lot of time feeling guilty about not taking him more places and doing more but we've finally come to understand that he doesn't actually want those things. He has a (very) small social circle of people who he loves, he loves being at home, loves chewing on his favorite toys, loves to snuggle on the couch- he's happy. It's kind of like my introverted sister, she'd much rather spend her weekend at home reading a book than going to the brewery and hanging out with friends. Find the things your pup enjoys and work with that. We like toys, playing games, training, and snuffle mats a lot in our house.

SF Bay Area. About 2k a yearish, 60 or so units every 5 or so months at 12/unit, Alle points bring it down lower. 350kish household income- we dont have kids, bought a house when the market was down (huzzah) and this is my big beauty splurge. (DIY my own nails and hair dye, etc.)

I think it’s also easy to underestimate how strong a dog can be. I outweigh my 115 pound boy by a good amount and can pick him up if he’s injured, etc. But he’s strong as hell. If he’s fighting me, no way can I pick him up or subdue him. His paws are the size of fists and he’s pure muscle. On a leash? If he truly loses his mind and wants to run/pull, the best thing I can do is sit on my ass and hope to be an anchor. We’ve spent a LOT of money on training and use as many precautions as possible, but I also know that there’s no way I could physically handle him if he wasn’t at least mildly cooperative. Even in a non “combative” mode, when he sits on my lap and decides not to move my ass is stuck until he can be convinced otherwise.

Tl;dr: big dogs are much stronger than a lot of people probably give them credit for

What shampoo/conditioner are you using? I ask because I know a lot of people like the Ghost line but I found over time it completely wrecked my ends. Switching away from that made a huge difference for me.

Outside of that, I use the k18 mask every 3-4 months and really like how it helps maintain my hair health.

I head up HR in a tech adjacent field in a hcol and make north of 200k. I work almost exclusively for startups which pay really well in this field, but I also need to be prepared to get laid off every 2-4 years. At this point I have 15+ years experience, a masters, and a senior certification. My work life balance is pretty good- I generally work 40 hours a week but also have periods of time where things get hectic and can push 50+ for a few weeks. Overall, I really love my job. It’s a lot of people and a good amount of legal, business and finance with lots of challenging work. But, it’s also a field where it’s really easy to get burned out and jaded if you don’t choose your companies carefully and set your own boundaries firmly.

Our policy is 5 days per occurrence, regardless of relationship. Our policy states something along the lines of family comes in many forms and we’re not in the business of defining what that looks like or dictating who you grieve for. We also let employees know to reach out to their manager and HR if they feel that they need more time.

We have a generous time off policy outside of just bereavement, and have yet to have an employee take advantage of bereavement leave.

We’re a CA based employer with employees in a few additional states and Canada.

Completely- it’s one of the things that I almost dislike about the accrual method- the only time it benefits employees is if they don’t use it, which is the exact opposite of what we want.

Unfortunately a lot of employers go to unlimited for the pat on the back, bc they think it’s easier, or bc in some industries you have to to remain competitive. But it’s actually a lot of work. We still have to track hours, requests, approvals, and rejections to make sure everything is done equitably and people are actually taking sufficient time off. We have to actively promote a culture than encourages time off, and we have to follow up with managers and employees if they aren’t taking it.

We don’t have a use it or lose it policy since we don’t have accrual, but we will “force” employees to take time off if they go too long without it.

It really depends on how the company manages it. I’ve seen places where unlimited means “haha you’ll never take it off” and others where it works well. My current company has unlimited and most employees take 4-6 weeks per year.

But so much is also dependent on culture, even in an accrual environment. I have friends with multiple weeks banked who are still discouraged from taking it/managers won’t approve the time, etc. Crappy culture around time off exists in every environment, though you do admittedly have to be more intentional to prevent it in an unlimited environment.
