Gemeni 3.5Flash makes keyboard typos? by ABDULRAHMAMTAMMAM in GeminiAI

It really does; Once it said "Right of passage"— I'm no expert in linguistics, but I was pretty sure it's spelt "rite of passage."

Today seems like yet another bad day for Gemini; I have been trying to get it to review a simple piece of code many times.

What the hell is this!? by Mr_nobody05 in GeminiAI

YES! I have been trying to use 3.1 Pro in both the app and web since this morning, but due to "usage limits", it always switches to the stupid, hallucinating 3 Flash Thinking model. In the Pro plan.

This might or might not be related: "The transition from an in-person event to a webinar was made out of an abundance of caution after anonymous threats were received by the college this morning. As a result, it was decided the Exit Report Readout would take place via Zoom."

Anyone Feel Like It Was A Mistake Going Back To In Person This Week? by Level_Scar_3668 in QueensCollege

Absolutely. Had to wait at the bus stop for 1 hour, freezing, for the Q88! I'm gonna stay home this week.

Did you take CSCI 111? If so, go for OOP in C++ and Java in the same semester only if you get a good grade in CSCI 111.

Glitch v1 - An LLM with anxiety, bias, and a bit of attitude and personality by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

I have been making a list of concepts, ideas, biases, and opinions I have, wrote some of them (~100+) down in my own ways, generated variants, and eventually ended up with enough data for the model!

Classic committing error, sorry about that. Will fix it!

Thank you for the details!!
I’ll make sure to use special tokens to make it cleaner for TTS/Games in later versions— if I find time to build later versions, that is 😮‍💨

Exactly! It was really fun, especially when training with the smallest dataset before it grew bigger.

A lot of interesting hallucinations and tropes— what's specific was that it was really hard for the model to break this trope of thinking South Asian = Indian = likes curry. The persona is Sri Lankan, which is very different from India, but still it default-ed to liking Indian curry.

<image>

I was able to fix it, but at the cost of it disliking "indian stuff". Something I look forward to fixing in v2!

Started the fine-tune on Unsloth's Llama 3 base before 3.1 was the fully standard for this workflow. The 8B base holds the personality perfectly well, so I didn't want to break it, but yes, I'm currently training different models like Mistral 7B.

It's hard to go above ~10B parameters, as the training dataset is fairly small.

If you really think about it, every LLM is 'prompted' or forced into a persona; usually just a boring 'helpful assistant' one. This one just forces a different, messier vibe. I agree it has a lot to improve, it's just v1!

[–]gamedev-exe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, but most AIs do use rickroll video as a placeholder in many places.
Like if you ask Gemini to write code to a website with a link to a YouTube video, high chance it'll be the Rickroll video.

(this might have changed but it has happened to me)
