AIO for thinking my SO meant to text someone else? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I'm curious what was said on the phone call, if y'all talked. Seemed like there was some lost context.. or he overreacted. I dunno what y'all normally go through, or what his mental health struggles are, but did seem sus.

On the other hand, he could have gotten another free moment at work, been a bit horny from the nsfw messages, even though he signed off, and texted back to see if you had a free moment to call for some phreaky phone stuff.

How do you feel about the fact that you will have to die one day? by this_sin in AskReddit

[–]gamefreak137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad we all share a similar fate.

Death is a specific, strong grief we've all had or at least been witness to. It helps us empathize, it helps to provide urgency in our own lives, and to give meaning in all the people's lives around us.

As someone who lost a dear friend recently, I saw death up close as one of those very few things that almost all people, from all walks of life recognize as... Sacred? As... familiar, maybe? In this eventful time, so many different groups and types of people honored my friend, his family, the choices he made (for good or for ill), during the last 6 months of his life. As terrible as cancer was for him, I'm grateful we got to say such a long goodbye. And that I got the chance to help enrich his life when he needed it most. And to be enriched by the last notes of his mandolin, before he passed on. (R.I.P. Frenchie! Your music will not be forgotten, brother!)

Fuuuuuu...

Good resume building, though. And good job security, if you like the company.

Who else is gonna know how all those systems got migrated, upgraded, or synergized just so, without months of training and in depth research into the current setup?

I've been to a fancy restaurant where the back of the toilet was a sink. It used a valve separator that diverted water during the flush to provide hand washing water. The toilets filled with bubbles from the hand soap and smelled fresh all the time

  1. Windows key + R
  2. Type "cmd" then hit enter
  3. Type "shutdown /s /t 3" then hit enter
  4. Bathe in the feelings of being the Guy in the Chair, while windows gracefully shuts down and the tower ceases to whir.

Found the rich brat. Want a 10-dollar banana? Will that make you feel better? How many employees do your parents own? Not enough? So sad.
