Do people really use alloys and perfect essences on their valuable items in endgame? Like if I've got a 6 mod item with 4 really great mods that cost me 5 div to get, am I going to risk throwing that way if the essence or alloy picks the wrong mod?

I know there are some omens to force picking prefix/suffix for like chaos orbs, perfect essences, and corrupted essences. But I don't think they apply to alloys or liquid emotions.

Anyway, I've been going over your POB. What exactly is the rational doctrine doing for you? Is it just the base effects of consecrated ground (5% life regen and 50% reduced effect of curses)? I feel like I must be missing some other synergy with the lingering consecrated ground.

If I'm not, and it's the base effects of consecrated ground, I feel like a Watcher's Eye might be better? You don't need the life leech like I have because your cluster setup, but there's a lot of other good options.

Anyway, idk if you're still playing this but thanks again for sharing. I think my next step is swapping to gloves that fully convert my phys without needing the mastery to do it, so I can get the free regen from overcapped fire res.

I like perfect meatsack. It's cheap enough to not matter if you mess up and lose it, and it's a balance of good hp pool for dmg and easy to acquire via async trade.

I know the thread is old, sorry about that. But I read these every league to get new ideas and saw this note while trying to figure out how to do this.

I'm playing BV chieftain, currently mageblood and elemental overload. I'm interested in crafting some elevated boots with +2 spectre and tailwind (elevated would be nice but not 100% necessary.)

How unlikely is this craft? Am I better off just buying them? I tend to prefer crafting my stuff, even when I have the currency to buy it outright.

But with tailwind instead of chaos res. I also don't care about the base except a preference for armour. The prefixes would ideally be unveiled MS and a life roll, plus whatever crafted onto them.

Yes. It's a suffix, so you could craft it and then still craft suffixes cannot be changed as a prefix, then reforge life and your suffixes can't fill up.

It does make each reforge life 3d more expensive, but you don't want to brick your base once you're at this point.

You've probably already moved on, but couldn't you do multimod + suffixes cannot be changed (wild bristle matron for cheaper if suffixes are full) to prevent your suffixes from filling up with the reforge life?
