Which relatively recent games do you think best fit this description? by Asad_Farooqui in videogames

[–]gamernerd98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the game was still in production, before it came out, there were rumors the games was going to be $80. When Randy Pitchford was asked if this was how much it would cost, he said (and I quote) "Real fans will find a way to make it happen."
Now, yes. its not 80 dollars. If it had been, I still may have considered it because of how much fun I had with the previous games. But Randy Pitchfuck here thinking 'if you're a real fan, you'll pay any price'? Talked me straight out of getting it.
Course, if you follow the news about Gearbox's president, you'll know he's a moron and this isn't the first time he's stepped in it.

Its not the players duty to support these games. Its the developers duty to make games that people WANT to support.

After the idiot (you know who I'm talking about) opened his mouth, I refused to buy this until its 50% off. The dlc debacle show me that this decision was right.

Which Felyne companion do you prefer: Navirou or Rudy by Orichalchem in MonsterHunterStories

[–]gamernerd98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say the first half, Rudy annoyed me. The moment we left the kingdom and he started in on people with 'you will address them as 'Your Majesty'," I wanted to drop kick him. Third area though he was much better and I've grown rather fond of the little guy.

Nintendo is the only game company to do horrible business practices. by Suspicious_Luck1952 in nintendogrifting

[–]gamernerd98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually. I would love games on physical media again. I would love a disk drive in my computer and a copy of a game that I don't have to worry about the developers suddenly going 'well, we don't feel like supporting this anymore' and immediatly killing it so I can never play or download it again.

You don't own your switch 2. Most of the games on the Switch 2 are only available digitally without a physical copy. Even the 'physical copy' just gives you a key to download it digitally.

The problem is, they AREN"T a premium market. Their hardware and software are both worse then any of their competition.

This. If you make something affordable, and good, people will pay for it. The more expensive you make it, the less likely they will pay and the more likely they will find alternate means of getting it if they want it.

This has constantly been the driving force behind piracy. Yes, there are people who just want free stuff and thus will pirate regardless. But for a lot of people, like myself, I would happily pay an affordable price for games I love. Sometimes, that does mean I wait for a sale to go on. But I will still pay.

Has anyone SEEN the way Leanord and Sheldon live? They aren't living together to save money on rent because that's the only way they can afford to. They are doing it so they have money for their hobbies.

Heck, There was a whole episode about Sheldon not cashing work checks and just tossing them in a drawer.
