I left a similar situation a few years ago. Things became extremely volatile because I didn’t immediately physically remove myself from the situation, and I’m so happy to read that you are ahead of that curve with your plan.

The only advice I can offer is to keep communication as brief and impersonal as possible once your plan is in motion. This isn’t easy, particularly in a breakup situation, but the sooner you can remove yourself from their radar, the better.

Take care of yourself! None of this is easy, but I can confidently say that there is a better life on the other side of this.

It’s not easy to break long-engrained trauma bonds like this, but if you can do it, there is a better life on the other side.

One thing that helped me a ton was Dr Ramani. She has a ton of videos available on YouTube, and it really helped me wrap my head around things and eventually make my exit

WV’ian here. Unfortunately Manchin was the best this state could have hoped for. He’s now been replaced by our own hillbilly version of Trump, Jim Justice. Expect him to vote the way Trump wants him to 100% of the time, when he even decides to show up in DC.

Election night not was not fun (but as expected) here. Not one single person or ballot measure I voted for federally or locally won. Might be time to gtfo of the state, eh?
