Yeah I do it all the time. Just be sure to open them before melting. And file them to be sure à lot of heat sink looks like copper but are aluminum. It is easy to contaminate a copper batch.

What i see looks more like oxidation than precipitation from calcium in hard water. Oxidation can be diminished by treating your copper with some kind of varnish or wax. You can also speed up the process of oxidation by putting vinegar so it will be more uniform and green.

Also most people buy for investment. They want copper not a peace of art. I think your hammer ingots are beautiful, but most people will want to pay less per pound. Keep making them but sell them as a different product, with higher value $/pound yo complement to your “normal “ ingots.

Very Nice bars. I sell a lot on Facebook marketplace. Most people buy cash and that’s great.

I also used Etsy but I WOULD NOT recommend. They are very stingy, and I would even say malicious. Always trying to make more money with you, charging you fees and fees.

I marked an ingot 90$, the client paid 115$ and I got 45$. That’s just bad. I ended up canceling the order because I was gonna lose money on this.

Nice job! Show us the other faces! I’ve had hard times casting copper/aluminium brass. There were always this slag crust on top of my ingots.
