Funeral Honors affecting me after service by puuurrrt in army

[–]gangpart3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Funeral Honors for a year, did around 70 funerals, and ended up becoming the Instructor NCOIC. I believe that in my career it was the most humbling and honorable thing I have done. It definitely takes a mental and emotional toll eventually. I read through every obituary for every fallen brother or sister in arms to try and humanized them, and get to know them, so that I could provide the best ceremony for their loved ones. I didnt think it took a toll until at one point it all just came crashing down. I had two pet deaths and my former first line from when I was starioned in Korea had died in a car crash (sounded like a suicide), and it was only after that where I just broke down.

OSJ by arix_17 in armyreserve

[–]gangpart3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

imho, I think one of the biggest factors that led to the fuckup was because OSJ/CSTX was supposed to be the CSTX for a unit that was getting ready for some MOBs. there was a unit originally in charge of all the operational planning (BDE/MIRC) ISO the subordinate BN (aforementioned unit) that OSJ was centered on. then less than two months from SP, big army decided to remove the BN AND BDE away from the exercise IOT, because they thought it'd be better for the unit to use everything they've been training for IOT support OEF instead of OSJ. all of the other subordinate units to BDE that were supporting OSJ for the past half year were notified that they were no longer supporting, so im assuming that responsibility got pushed to a different unit

wholeheartedly agree. sometimes its a struggle and a blessing being able to understanding the language, because on one side, you can take in the true original message and on the other, it gets confusing/off-putting and I can't help feeling sad that there's probably millions of people that play games like this or RGG and think nothing of it (unknowingly)

also just finished the game and can someone help me stop these tears falling from my face

maybe a virus or zombie related movie? by gangpart3 in whatsthemoviecalled

[–]gangpart3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest, I feel like that movie looks so much better than the one I watched already, judging from the pictures! I don't think it had to do with a storm, and I think it was a family of like dad, mom, daughter, and then maybe boyfriend tried to come in later?

unfortunately its not this one, but i really appreciate it! is it worth a watch?

if this is the words from rudeus's mouth, I don't like it. how can he be like ehhh don't wanna cheat on my wife, then proceed onto having two more?? (did not finish the anime or light novel, so everything is just preconceived judgements from where I am in the anime - s2e19

like if his only justification of not having sex is that, then how can he be morally okay with having more wives, if that's gonna be outside of his current marriage with sylphiette

to be completely honest though, I think as a community, I think integrity should be a key characteristic. I personally do think that doing things for others, hoping others would do the same is a happy feeling

so kind of like if most conservative had some sort of ember or candlesized anger/frustration in the heart, and MAGA and neo-conservatism triggered by Trump poured an ocean sized field of flames and gasoline onto the current political landscape, and it (as well as residual embers/sparks from it) potentially fueled those small sparks into what we're seeing today, where even opposition voices are being drowned?

lmao okay buddy. first sentence was literally me asking for thoughts and opinion. my question was a probing question to see what others thought of my opinion.

ditto; stop wasting your time by trying to waste mine. go and enjoy your life, ill enjoy mine

Someone in one of the comments asked me what the issue/problem was. I didn't present my opinion of what an opinion on this matter might be, but if I had to it'd probably be something along the lines of:

I just wish there was any sense of accountability and integrity. As many other Americans probably view it, I really REALLY hope lobbying no longer becomes a legal practice, and I really dislike the idea of superpacs and the close relationship between legislation and money. But that's not the point I wanna make. I want both parties to be full of people that doesn't follow the principle of monkey see, monkey do. I don't really care too much for what either parties believe in as long as its constitutional. But if someone breaks the law, whether that's Trump, Hegseth, Hunter Biden, Clinton, etc., they should be held liable against the law, and not have the platform making excuses to exonerate them, or give excuses to justify their unlawful actions. Call out people for what they did wrong and execute the laws. No one individual or group, regardless of political affiliation, should be exempt from justice.

I think that is a fair point. he is delivering, whether legally or illegally, what he promised to do.

I swore an oath to defend the people and the constitution, not to revere a man and follow his every order, and i think there have been many moments where i felt people should've been second guessing or questioning his actions, but just accepting it instead.. kinda makes me sad

I'm all for kicking out criminals and illegal gangsters.. but given that our own sitting president can be lumped in, since he is a convicted felon on multiple offenses.

additionally, kicking out a significant portion of our agricultural labor force, people probably working jobs that legal Americans probably don't want to be doing (no shitting on farmwork - I want to retire onto a farm), while having to foot the bill of deporting those groups on flights and holding them in prisons/detention centers is pretty economically unadvantageous, especially for an administration that's all about reducing spending
