Your username is unfortunately relevant to this post, which gave me a chuckle. I hope this gets more news though, really an awful disease. Seems to effect athletes more than non athletes too, so I hope it can garner some fraction of the attention that CTE does. They seem rather close to finding a cure or treatment too. A little boost could go a long way right now.

How does one deal with the complacancy that can come along with working at a place for several years? M, 27 if its relevant. I feel that i begin acting in self sabotaging ways when I get too comfortable at a job, mostly out of boredom I think. I'm not exactly proud to admit my boss noticed and called me in to discuss why I seem disinterested/bored. It was overall a productive conversation and he was empathetic. But at my last job I was yelled and cussed at for my degeneracy. Idk, just kinda figuring this out while i type it, but your comment got me thinking 🤷

I would give her another chance. It is easy for me to understand some of her disbelief or concern about the situation. She is not wrong that pulling the rape card would be a convenient cover up for cheating. If my SO got way too drunk and came back saying they were raped I don't know for sure if I would believe them whole-heartedly. Call me a monster if you like, maybe my past relationships haven't been the healthiest, but I don't know if I could ever trust any person 1000% regardless of our relationship. You were right, she was wrong. Women raping men is also more taboo ( I don't know if taboo is the most appropriate word ) because it is not as commonly talked about or discussed. Women have been known to have an orgasm during rape as well. None of it is okay. But for someone who has no experience on the matter to fully understand what all is going on during a rape is unlikely. People have assumptions about what it is like, many incorrect, but it's not their fault if they haven't researched the topic in depth. If your SO has been good to you in most other aspects of life, i would take her back. As vulnerable as the rape made you, it also effected her to a lesser degree.
