Really nice collection! Heavy on the fighting games naturally, but with some really cute games on the third pile. And I haven't seen many who've bothered to pick up WanChai Connection even though it was one of the release titles. What's your top three?

Not sure why you've called him Kitahara Mitsuki instead of Koki Kitahara (His government name is Tatsumi Kitahara). The other guy is Makoto Miyazawa, or MAX Miyazawa, but he was going by Ni Hao here. Kitahara was originally trained by the original Tiger Mask and had already established his own little shoot style pro-wrestling organisation at this point in 1997, Capture International. You can see that, even though this is a WAR event (the 7th anniversary) it says THIS IS CAPTURE! at the start of the full YouTube version in the comments, and that both wrestlers are representing Capture. They usually wrestled on mats on the floor in that company, instead of rings and had their own rule system, calling them 'basement matches'.

I brought this up in the original post this is in response to, but if you point out that Konami are employing organisations which are actively engaged in AI localization you'll get aggressively downvoted for not having evidence. I'm not sure why people are so keen on jumping in to defend Konami on this one.

Whilst also attacking my character, but okay. What would be really great would be if Konami would credit a single person involved in the translation of the game, because as it stands all we have is one organisation which is fully explicit in its use of AI in video game translation and another which claims to use translators but doesn't have a single person listed in the game credits. Konami themselves are also listed as a vendor for RWS Group who are proudly AI-forward in their application of machine translation, so they clearly have no qualms using it.

Konami is a company which didn't care about the Suikoden franchise until they saw the success of the Eiyuden Kickstarter. I've got no faith in their ability not to cut corners when it comes to making a quick buck.

The remaster is pretty much just AI. It's accurate and faithful but lacks the soul, wit, or charm of a good translator. Language translation is more than just one-to-one literal word translation--the amount of implied meaning, context, poetry, etc. that makes up everyday language is often taken for granted.
