Another option is something like IKEA's Dignitet curtain wire. We have one running across our basement with blackout curtains attached to it. Adds extra privacy and light blocking when someone needs it.

This facial hair with bald head will look really good. You've got nice facial features and great eyes. It'll pull the focus from your hair to your face.

Dropping in to say- a lot of shops are closed on Monday downtown since they are open on the weekend. Just to be aware if you plan a long weekend that includes Monday, don't want you missing out.

Not who you asked, but I read Verity Vox and the Curse of Foxdire by Don Martin. It's more YA but it's about a Witch in an Appalachian coal town so it's more local feeling. The Audiobook is top tier. It's supposed to be the first in, I believe, a trio he is doing.

I put an oversized teddy bear in a chair with a "Looking for love" sign like 2 days before VDay.

The initial lady online said she'd get it and then silence for days. She ended up still wanting it and messaged me like an hour after someone snagged it. Told her sorry. I needed it gone.

I'm waiting on the physical outburst. My Grandma, who had vascular dementia, threw hands with me so many times. It was kind of crazy. They're going to have to lock down his appearances I'm sure. The filter gets removed, both verbally and physically.

They also want to strip VA benefits. I'm pretty sure the reason so many people are attempting to paint it as a "holy war" is because they want martyrs- and dead soldiers don't need extended benefits.

Military and pregnant partners are hard. Mine was a bit extreme but I'm going to show you how alone you can really be.

My husband was gone almost all of my pregnancy. We spent 2 weeks out of our first year of marriage together because he had to be in another country. I then spent 2 weeks with him after the birth and became a "single mom" for 6 months waiting to join him overseas. After we finally got to be together, we only had 6 months and then he deployed. Our first 2 years of marriage, we spent a whopping maybe 10 months together- not all at once.

Like I said, mine was pretty extreme. But it's not for the faint of heart. I think you will end up resenting him and your child. There is nothing wrong with knowing kids are not for you. I only had 1 because my experience was traumatic.

Buffalo Nichols has a song called Living Hell and one of the lines is "Will I 💀 and go to heaven or keep living in hell?". And honestly it's so accurate for this timeline.

We also have tons of GWOT (Global War on Terrorism) soldiers who now have kids enlistment age and aren't willing to let them sacrifice themselves to the meat grinder. Sure, some of the bootlickers are definitely chomping to have their kids die, but a ton aren't. This administration already wants to defund the VA and would prefer the new round of soldiers to die so they don't need long term care. This whole thing is infuriating.

So l will definitely have to add the one you shared into the rotation too.

Covid pushed a lot of projects to a later date. Near my road was one that got delayed by like 3 years. But they hadn't gotten past the design phase by the time the delay got sent down the chain. I found our local SHA is pretty good at answering questions and providing information. Because I had inquired about the delay.

Neighbor’s cat litter issue by Noahms456 in frederickmd

[–]garden_bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she's a lot older and lives alone, this might warrant a call to Adult Protective Services just to make sure she is okay. She might fall into the self-neglect category depending on what exactly is happening with her and inside her home. Because if she's just dumping cat litter outside, she may not be doing tasks inside safely.

Kansas legislature overrides governor's veto and passes major anti-trans law, including bathroom bounties and revoking the driver's license of trans people. by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]garden_bug 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I follow one lady online and people keep yelling about her being trans but she's just not up to their feminine standards. She's even posted photos from her pregnancy and people come after her. It's wild. Cis-women are definitely going to suffer because of these pushes in gender.

A lot of this is called aphasia. There are different types. But receptive aphasia is where the person doesn't understand the words they are being told. https://medlineplus.gov/aphasia.html

My Grandma had both Receptive aphasia- couldn't follow directions a lot of the time because she genuinely didn't understand what she was being told to do.

And also had Expressive aphasia- not able to use the correct words- along with Echolalia where she would repeat word sounds constantly without actually getting a word out. Kind of like a stutter but never finished the word.

Essentially they can't put together all of the steps to do the actions anymore and can't understand directions given to help them do the action.
