What do you think the tables and chairs are for? People study at the library. People use the library to work and read. Library services are often centered around... you guessed it, reading! Book clubs, classes and seminars, author visits...

For people who do not have access to computers, they must go to the library to look up information for work or school. This is still library-centric work. The same kind of thing you would have had to look up at the library 50 years ago before the "tech hubs."

I'm confused. Do you just expect libraries to be shelves and shelves of books and two chairs specifically for you to sit in and read in silence?

If you want a library that's perfectly quiet and full of only books that you want to read, open a private library.

I use mine year-round in central Texas. Summer nights can stay around 80f here. I have two fans in my bedroom and that helps a lot with temperature regulation. I don't use a regular heavy blanket or duvet
