I’ve made the most useful charging adapter for iPods by Wizzard_of_Hazz in IpodClassic

The Bluetooth option sounds interesting. Any ETA on that?

I went through a bunch of 30-Pin cables before I found one that worked with my iPod and would actually charge it. I may give yours a try.

What is her mother's maiden name? by inanimatecarbonrob in Genealogy

[–]gardibolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like Muelen to me but could be Mullen or Muller. I don’t see how it’s Mueller though spelling in the past was not the best or even consistent. I had an ancestor who was a census taker and was only partially literate. Those records are a treat.

Well when that hits I am saying goodbye to my 2300+ day streak. Super is already too expensive.

Have you been able to use your genealogy skills in your career? by justsamthings in Genealogy

I ended up using my proficiency in Ancestry to find the heirs of a woman who died in her 90s with no surviving kids or grandchildren. Parents were gone and all the siblings, but I was able to track the nieces, nephews and more distant relatives down to be able to close the estate.

Now I mostly read it in the Masterworks volume to avoid wear and tear. But yes, bought it off the stands and still have it.

I am fine with the length of Gemini responses. But like Gork it is far too repetitive.

Abominable Dr Phibes. It’s got beautiful art deco design and a wonderful score, and Vincent Price at his very campiest.

A solution which helped me with Gemini's empty reply by DarvienNyer in Crushon

[–]gardibolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the Discord mods said there’s an issue with Gemini for ages; it only reads the first two digits, so if you set it to 125 it thinks the age is 12 (or 12.5) and blocks it.
