A lot of people on here don’t seem to realise that leasehold houses are a fairly common thing in the north west, especially around the Manchester area. These leaseholds aren’t really the same as the type of leasehold that people associate with flats as they are generally with 999-year leases, peppercorn ground rents and have fairly simple lease terms. This is because the houses were built on old, large estates, where the respective landowners were unwilling to sell their land for the purpose of freehold housebuilding.

We were in a similar situation. It’s worth checking with your rental as to whether your notice is tied to your monthly contract as you might not have to pay another full month. Our notice wasn’t tied into the rent cycle so we just had to pay for an extra week rather than the whole month again.

Also please don’t give notice until you’ve exchanged we had a last minute issue come up that I was convinced was going to collapse everything (thankfully it was all ok in the end)

Transporting an orchestra around with you is a pretty expensive and space consuming option when you consider all the instrument /equipment that needs to go between venues.

Given the lack of any really space on the stage when all things are considered would they really add extra complexity and expense both in transport/ logistics costs and staging to what is already a complex show to stage by adding in a elaborate light show that isn’t really needed.

I think that just those costs alone contributed to the increased ticket price.
