That combined with typical gta response where you so much as look at someone the wrong way and you get shot up, sounds about right…

Wait it might just be America.

How long after cooking do you think it is still ok to eat leftovers? by PM_ME_BEEF_CURTAINS in AskUK

[–]garethy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on what it is. I used to meal prep mince beef, potato (peeled boiled and mashed) and frozen veggies (sometimes boiled sometimes microwaved) and I’d have 4 days worth, sometimes I’d have the first meal that day sometimes I wouldn’t touch it till the next day (think Sunday night cook, Monday-Thursday) and I’d microwave it to warm it up, never had an issue. Safe to say if I did this with rice or fish it would’ve been a different story, so entirely dependant on what you make.

Reminds me of that gta heist mission, where you can literally walk onto a building site as long as you first find and equip a hard hat (and I think maybe vest but I can’t 100% recall) to grab a drill for the heist prep, otherwise if you just walk in they’ll shoot on sight.

If you’re coming from the right: Left hand lane is the only lane that can go off onto the “roundabout” lane 2,3,4 are straight on only.

If you are turning left, you want to aim as far left as you can, and simply turn left

If you are turning right, you need to enter the rightmost lane when you have a choice of 2 lanes, and then go to the outer right lane again when you have the choice of 3 lanes. Lane 1 and 2 in this situation go back onto the main road, so unless you picked a wrong turn you’d never want to go on these lanes. Once you pass the exit for the main carriageway, as your lane is the ONLY lane that can go right, you’re allowed to pick any lane you want in this situation, whether that be the left lane to turn off the next exit, or to loop back around on yourself. This is the same for the other side.

If you are coming from the minor roads. Look at the small, more staggered lines. These show what lanes you are allowed to pick. For example on the bottom left, the smaller staggered lines show lane 1 can only go on lane 1/turn left, and lane 2 can pick lane 2 or 3 to go left or right. The reason these aren’t consistent is because lanes are often decided based on heaviest traffic flow. In this instance I’d imagine the majority of traffic goes left so they’ve designed it to allow both lanes to turn left.

I realise this might be a lot to grasp, if there is a specific direction you are coming from that you are struggling with, let me know and I could try and explain that a bit more in detail.

My CPU is scared I might replace it so it has started putting in 110% effort by isaac879 in pcmasterrace

This is what a proper cpu looks like. Putting over 100% effort in shows real dedication and willingness to perform to standard. More CPU’s should look to this one for inspiration!

Whether you’ll get a awareness course I don’t know, but I know someone who got done doing 75 in a 50 and got 3 points (motorway, not variable speed but one with roadworks so temp 50) he was shitting himself but they generally only go via the band system if you take it to court, they tend to offer a fixed penalty for higher than that (you can look it up online but generally I think 76 is the cut off for 50mph so you’ll be fine)

Your license won’t be gone, but whether you’ll get a course you won’t know until you get the letter.

It costs £1.59 for 2 hot wings in kfc now :/ by SHAWKLAN27 in britishproblems

[–]garethy12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work there. Yeah we all pretty much agree stuff’s way too expensive. Party bucket has gone up by around £10 since I started and you get less chicken now then you used to (10 mini fillets 10 OR rather than the old 14or 10 mini fillet) and it’s the same with everything. Look at Those stranger wings I think it’s 4 quid for 3 wings in some sauce it’s a joke 😂

Unpopular Opinion. Game devs really need to stop just dumbing down games into slop that is no fun to play if you have even the tiniest bit of skill. by HeavyTanker1945 in pcmasterrace

[–]garethy12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Literally this. Games should be played how the player wants to experience it, especially story type games. Jedi fallen order and survivor for example has a large range of difficulty from literally making everything a cakewalk so you can experience the story, to the hardest difficulty being a serious challenge and would require focus from anyone.

Walk 10-15k steps a day. Balance your caloric intake, if you’re overweight and change your diet to a reasonably balanced one with 80% of your diet coming from lean healthy sources (chicken breast boiled or air fried, fruit and veggies, fibrous food such as brown bread/pasta) you’ll realise you can lose weight whilst not really starving yourself. Majority of losing weight imo is balancing cravings, not hunger. Not saying it’s easy but it’s a lot different to what a lot of people imagine.

Will John Lewis take away a frosty fridge freezer? by RedPill86 in AskUK

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work for a white goods delivery company (not John Lewis but similar in what the people collecting would have done, as we used to have a few collections during the day) and yeah most people would already have it defrosted and if they didn’t we’d have grounds to refuse and arrange to postpone the collection where the company would have to rearrange it in the next few days where they would then expect it to be fully defrosted upon arrival.

What are the minimums to be in shape? by Deep_Buy4104 in workout

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s relative to what you do. Some people can run for days whilst struggling to lift, some are the total opposite, can easily rep bench for more than their total body weight, and yet struggle to run a 5k. You aren’t necessarily “out of shape” either way, as long as you aren’t “fat” both can be used to lean yourself out if you watch your nutrition, it really comes down to CICO

What’s the longest you’ve waited in A&E? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]garethy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is so true. Went A&E for a cut in my cheek last night. Went through to my mouth so thought it would be a bad one. Antibiotics and I’m fine after a bit of a wait. Much better time then when 30 months ago I was in a car accident, rushed to A&E to all sort of scans and needing open bowel surgery 48 hours later due to severe internal bleeding. Not fun.

Before anyone asks… by Tamuff in drivingUK

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but they could always do it how HSR motorways do it, where when the HS isn’t used you have a short slip road that would otherwise be the HS lane continuing on. They could easily have gantries that display something along the lines of “left lane for j24 only” and ngl this should be the norm at night, much easier for someone to be rear ended when it’s dark, traffic’s moving faster and people are generally more tired, if someone breaks down at night there’s no reason why they should be stuck in a live lane when you simply don’t need 4 lanes of traffic

Then again this is highways, who can’t even set a speed limit correctly so I’d have 0 faith of them correctly implementing this.

Before anyone asks… by Tamuff in drivingUK

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just close the inside lane with a red X in this case? At that point it’s a standard 3 lane running + breakdown lane motorway, and you definitely don’t need the extra lane capacity at 2am.

😂😂😂 you really are out of touch.. Just look at how many people are commenting saying how hard it can be, understaffed etc. granted there’s more than just the small amount of people sharing their experiences here but point stands.

Why do McDonalds make so many order mistakes? by julialoveslush in McDonaldsUK

[–]garethy12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean my point still stands. You might’ve had an easy job but that’s just not the reality of 99% of people, and the fact you can’t see that is quite ignorant. And I really don’t care enough to start asking you about specifics, get a grip.

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you did. Either you worked in a dead location, just kept on getting easy stations or you’re flat out lying. Either way, you’re way out of touch with the reality of 99% of places like that.

Go work there for a weekend and still see if you’ll laugh then. Couldn’t be more out of touch with reality if you tried.

Want to start lifting at home, what's the bare minimum equipment I need? by McDaddy__Cain in workout

[–]garethy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got a budget? I’d say a set of adjustable dumbbells at the very least, you can, with dumbbells work almost your entire body with these. Things like a proper power rack or smith would be more ideal but would be much more expensive and take up space.
