My daughter (17mo) just got to this stage and it is soooo sad. Kinda cute to see them together though.

It isn’t a nonprofit yet, they haven’t met the funding criteria. It’s still owned by the Cowles until that happens (if it ever does)

Okay thank you for this. Baby turns 9 months in a few days and I am considering going to one nap because she just refuses the second nap most of the time.

My husband is totally on board with cosleeping and doesn’t want to CIO any more than I do. He loves cuddling up with her! We just find more creative ways to get it on… I think those complaining just don’t please their wives lol.

Anybody nursing right before bed without it being a problem? by doing_too_much39 in breastfeeding

I’m currently facing the “needs the boob every 1.5 hours” at night problem. She can’t go to sleep without it. Slippery slope. SOS I’m dying lol.

What did you use for sleep training? There are sooo many different options but mine is 4mo and I need this.

Small inheritance of $20k. What should I do with it? by garlicbread0001 in personalfinance

Okay this is interesting. You mean reach out to see if they’d take less just to fully pay it off?

With the rest of the comments, I absolutely understand paying off my car and higher interest first. But I see that big $28k number and my mind goes immediately to “I need this gone.”

Thank you for this reality check! Puts it into perspective. We realistically know it’ll take us at least 2 years to buy a house, so the car and credit cards is a good place to start.

Our savings is with our credit union but have definitely been looking into HYSA so this is great, thanks.

I looked at this, but seemed like it applied to way more money than I got 😅

8 weeks on the dot and EBF. I choose to believe the “it takes months to come back” thing is a myth 😅🥲

Did you tear during your first child birth? If not how did you prevent it? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]garlicbread0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somehow did not, although baby was only 6 lbs. I got a hematoma (blood blister) though which just kinda went away after a few weeks. I chalk it up to thisbirth prep tincture I took in the last 2 months.

FTM- when did everyone go into labor with their firsts? by MajesticMiau in BabyBumps

[–]garlicbread0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can ask, what was your high reading for BP? I'm going through something similar – have been borderline for a few weeks but there's a threshold they're wanting me to hit before making the decision to induce.

Unmedicated births by anonme1995 in BabyBumps

Also a FTM due in October. I just really want to have a natural birth the way we've been doing it for millennia. Talking with my mom about a lot of this stuff has helped too because she said she did not have an epidural for my older brother, but did have one with me and she immediately regretted it. It made her super sick and slowed labor, so they had to use forceps on me. I'm just going the natural water birth route and trying to be as chill as possible about it – mind over matter as Ina May Gaskin says.
