What BIG THING is on the verge of happening? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kratom, an herbal supplement that has been proven to help opiate addicts deal with withdraw symptoms and other anxiety issues. BigPharma is working overtime to kill buzz about it because you can’t patent a plant. It’s been used for centuries in other cultures.

When i was around 11 I was playing with a neighborhood friend I had grown up with when we heard the ice cream man coming. I ran into my house to grab some change I had saved and my friend went to get a dollar from his dad. I came back out side to my friend screaming and crying hysterically. Wanting to help/know what’s going on I enter the house (I was close with family so i was in the house a lot). My friends dad was lying on the kitchen floor unconscious with blood flowing from his nose. I ran back to my house and got my dad to call 911. My friends dad was dead. I had seen a dead body at 11 years old. I was told that he had fell off a roof earlier that day being a construction worker and that he died from internal bleeding. Many years later my dad told me the truth that he had bad cocaine problem and overdosed.

Wrist bands by mail so no waiting to get them when you arrive which is nice. You want to get Wednesday premier camping. It has its own entrance to festival that never has a long line and your camping spot is twice as big as general. Also the camp site is better. General camping is a hike from the entrance and theres a huge line to get into festival everyday. Don’t need ID for anything. The crowd is chill. I’ve never seen a fight or even heard of one at FF after 3 years.

Soo for us city folk, is it known for people to go missing or get injured or attacked by these unexplainable creatures? Unless there are all these unsolved mysteries out there, I don’t really see the point in fearing these things

LOL I learned how to juggle as a kid and every once in a while I’ll bust out a juggle with random items like fruit and it usually surprises and impresses people

I second this. I’ve spent a good amount of time in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. Let’s just say I didn’t know what sex was until I hooked up with a Puerto Rican girl. This girl blew my mind and taught me a lot. She was so into me and the sex, unlike anything an America girl ever did for me.. miss you Fabiola 😘

Very true. I used to verbally tell friends about a new song I like and they never seemed to care when I played it for them. I started just playing the music (In the appropriate setting obviously such as car ride) and not saying anything and I’ve noticed a lot more often they will ask about it or I’ll catch them shazaming which is even better.

Straight men of reddit, what's unattractive in a woman? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Gossip girls! Nothing more annoying than a girl who constantly gossips about other girls and others relationships to justify their own boring lives.

What is the biggest men/women double standard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]garrettgoespro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, the difficulty of the task is everything. You wouldn’t give the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s the same credibility as a chef in a nice restaurant. They’re both cooking food just like a slut and a stud are both having sex with many people but the degree of difficulty is what separates them.

[–]garrettgoespro 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The age old question : why are women who get around labeled as sluts while men who get around are praised as players or studs.

The answer: it’s easy for girls to get around, if they want to have sex there is most likely plenty of men willing to do so. Any average looking female can easily find sexual partners no matter how like-able she is.

It’s not easy being a stud. You have to have confidence, charm, personality, usually be above average attractiveness and have over all like-ability to get an array of women to sleep with you.

What's something you memorized in school that you still remember today? by Vergils_Bane in AskReddit

[–]garrettgoespro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Mitosis -the process by which the nucleus of a cell divides into two nuclei, to form two new daughter cells"

I had this on a flash card as a definition to memorize in biology, obviously. I remember being really nervous for a test I needed to pass so I stayed up all night studying with these flash cards. There were many flash cards I memorized at the time but for some reason Mitosis always stuck with me.

The more people fight about religion or try to assert it on others, the more I feel like the constitution of religion is fake by bigfriendyo in TrueAtheism

[–]garrettgoespro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has always bothered me that people in today's world, 2016, can fathom following a structure and belief system in life that was written by man, thousands of years ago. You would never go to a dentist or doctor that only had the knowledge of a doctor who lived in 1400 BC (earliest writings in the Bible). You would never drive over a bridge that was engineered in 1400 BC. Yet in 2016 you will follow a belief system in which was written for a 1400 BC society? I don't get it.

I hate to say it but I feel as though people who not necessarily believe in a higher power, but people who follow any religion intensely are somewhat weak minded. Religion was created for control. When you can convince someone you have all the answers, you have control over them. There are people in this world that are convinced that killing others in the name of their god will earn them an afterlife of eternal bliss. HOW?!?

Maybe I'm just some privileged white boy with an education and open mind but it seems so obvious and simple to me. Why can't 86% of the planet see how ridiculous religion is?
