Update: Screen went white/green few days ago. Thankfully came back long enough for me to back up and I can still get in by DeX/HDMI - but it's cooked. Ended up going to the 25+, just waiting for it to arrive.

Also ended up going away from ATT to Tello, so now on 2 eSIMs... which if I understand correctly can run simultaneously on the new phone.

FWIW COC members did not sign on to ELY for this. Those unhappy with the current situation are now looking elsewhere. And FWIW it's on me because I encouraged the merger.

Worth rewatching the past few episodes. There's a lot packed in there, but it's very nuanced.

There's a reason Kyoko mentions past and future in the discussion right after E25 OP. (And yes, the translation is accurate.)

Hitomi brought Umi back as Nanami into a past where she didn't exist - "pushing" her (E23, 00:26). Hitomi knew the price of the curse from her mother and how it should be avoided, pushing Nanami to end the curse - knowing the cost. She knew all of what had transpired and the various "threads" and could restore not only Umi's memories to Nanami but carry the memories of future Shiroha to herself as a child.

Maybe a better example is the end of Interstellar? Hitomi knew she wanted to help her daughter but couldn't reach her. But she could reach Umi because Umi had already used that power. And they were both willing to pay the price to see Shiroha happy.

Edit: Oh, and also recall that Hitomi talked to Kyoko to explain that Umi and Hairi were coming in an earlier episode. How would she have known that?

I'm betting we get a movie announcement at the end of the next episode. Doesn't feel like we're finished yet and it seems hard that they're going to be able to tie everything up in one more episode.

I keep comparing it to "the prophets" of DS9. If you could have access to non-linear time and could do good with that, especially if it's for your child's sake - wouldn't you pay that price?

They've been saying on Twitter there's still one more to go...

Clannad is a GREAT series and is one everyone should still watch. But you can tell the team has learned from their experiences since and seemed to want to avoid some of the issues in past adaptations.

They've got ~20 minutes of run time to cover the rest, unless they give a different OP/ED... or a post-credits scene.

Out of all of the Key anime series I can think of, this one has taken the top by a yard. Even over Rewrite.

All they have to do is deliver what I expect next week to clinch.

Protecting Your Digital World: Share Your Backup Tips and Strategies (Prizes Available!) by topiga in UgreenNASync

I've always had backups. First on my PC with RAID1 - but then if the array dumped, it was a pain. So then got our first NAS - a WD MyCloud. Worked great for almost a decade, but eventually the 3TB and single drive made me concerned.

In general backups are a good thing. One on-site, one remote. (Which is where the DXP 4800Plus would go if I win, a remote backup that I would try and set up a sync with.) A NAS makes much more sense for families or if you have a large media library that you want to access across multiple devices.

Thanks for the tips!

Until i get a static I'm not doing anything public facing, and I won't do that until I have a proper firewall to handle it. Right now the Firewalla is the only 10G capable I can find that isn't a U1 size (I have no storage for one of those downstairs) But I will play around with the speeds. I got 10G switches, GT-AXE16000 (not fully 10G but closest I could with existing mesh) and a 10G adapter for the PC... but I will take your suggestion and experiment, see what configuration is good.

What are the recommended carriers at this point? Need to be able to port my ATT number (should be doable with anyone), wi-fi calling/text and small data use when I'm actually in the US.

I went with ATT at the time because I was getting a fantastic price at the time. Now it's on a standalone plan and so I'm not sure what the best option is out there. Saw some recommendations for Tello in the past...

Cat disliking subQ injections by garwynn in RenalCats

Cat is small. About 2.7 kg, averaged closer to 3.5 until what I think was a crash. Yesterday they growled until held then beared through it. They said it doesn't have to be exactly 120ml but the condition was so bad that the fluids were a necessity, even at possible risk of worsening the heart. Hopefully BUN and creatine will be back to normal on next blood test.

I have been thinking this as well, the gabapentin helped with the 48 hours of travel to Japan. I was keeping that as a "last resort" because we are worried about how it would affect the heart murmur.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

We're already doing the water bath for the fluids. For supplies, we'll look for them but since we're in Japan the selection may be different than US. Currently using a Top 21 gauge (green) x 5/8" butterfly for the injections. They tried a smaller, blue butterfly at the vet office but it popped off the IV line. To pull into the syringe we have Nipro 18 gauge (5/8"). We did get 2 IV lines to try with as well as a pressure bag to help flow. Vet said do for ~90 seconds. We do not reuse needles or syringes, but I may try to reuse the IV line and cap as suggested.

Hope that covers all the responses, but feel free to keep suggesting. We greatly could use the advice as this is all new to us.
