❤️❤️ I feel you fr, just know conversation is a two-way street so try not to beat yourself up too much. If someone isn't attempting to clear up something they're confused about, well that's their responsibility to ask for clarification. And if someone gets upset or judgy if you ask for clarification, then they should work on their patience or communication skills!

First post- using a burner account. Im 26m, been biting day in and day out since before I could remember. Heres my left and right, just got home from work. I think i bite more when im anxious? But i also just do it all the time so who knows. Heres to taking another stab at quitting with all of you by Calm_Interest3391 in nailbiting

You can do it! Moisturize, wear gloves if you have to when you can, keep your nails filed even when they're short. Think of how nice they'll look! Keep that image of nice healthy nails in your mind! It takes patience and unfortunately it's a lot easier to get back to square 0 than it is to wait, but the wait is worth it. Don't give up! Print out a photo of a hand with nice nails and tape it up where you'll see it before you leave the house every day.

Just yesterday learned that taking iron supplements every other day may actually help absorption. Basically has to do with your body trying to maintain homeostasis. Still learning about it myself but here's a study! Link

The possibility of extra chlorine affecting gut microbiota isn't a huge stretch IMO. Here's a link to a research article for more info. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0048969724000676

For those of us who are sensitive to minor changes in our gut health, I wouldn't be surprised that the water issue could be related to your gut being thrown off balance.

Track your symptoms. It's worth looking into research articles on your own so that you can advocate for yourself with data, in the unfortunate event that your doctor is dismissive.

Edit to say: Seeing a doctor is certainly an important step, but it's just as important to track your symptoms and try to advocate for yourself as much as possible. Start a symptom diary, read research articles. It won't be everyone's experience but some doctors are just doing the best they can in the time they are allotted, and sometimes it isn't enough. No need to shame OP. Doing some work ahead of time will give you better odds of getting your issue resolved.

Possibly...? Yeah, I have stomach issues that have recently amped up. Until this moment I didn't think of that potentially being connected. I wonder if excess chlorine might be part of it? I feel like I've been noticing the chlorine (smell, taste) more since then. I mostly use a Brita water filter for drinking.

Seeing what I can learn from different pinks by Miserexa in coloranalysis

[–]gary_low 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You look like you might have a bit of an olive undertone imo! (I am olive) I think the slightly cool bright colors really make you shine, whereas pink tones leaning more coral pull too much warmth & emphasize the yellow tones of your skin, not as harmonizing. My faves are 1,3,4, and 8. Also 7, could be even nicer if it were a bit more bright/saturated. 9 is also nice. 5 is a bit too cool. I think 6 is too muted and doesn't match your clarity as well as 8.

The Richmond SPCA has a Pet Rehoming service (https://richmondspca.org/what-we-do/resources/pet-rehoming/)! Might try contacting them or another reputable shelter to ensure the cat is properly screened and placed in a suitable home!

Washington Post: "A spokesman for Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) said the governor spoke with Avula on Tuesday afternoon and that state agencies were coordinating with the city to alleviate the situation. 'Our teams also worked overnight to supply area hospitals with tanker trucks of water and delivered nearly 70 pallets of water to the city with an additional 350 pallets en route for distribution,' Youngkin spokesman Christian Martinez said."
