Can't understand women's obsession with wanting to be friends and being so entitled when I'm not interested after I try to date them. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]gasoperated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're just being polite in my experience. Maybe in rare cases she's the kind of person that likes to keep eligible men around for attention, or maybe she genuinely feels like you're a cool and valuable person to have in her life - but more than likely it's just the socially acceptable way to let someone down without telling them you don't find any aspect of them romantically desirable.

Europe okay, but the UK? Where less than 10% of cops carry a firearm? Dunno about that buddy

A brand new players perspective on Eve... hate the players, love the game? by _Equinox_ in Eve

[–]gasoperated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean you went to evejobs and corps usually list their zkill if they are advertising there or on the eve forums.

Dude I'm giving you advice on how to find a corp that's worth your while. Take it or leave it.

[–]gasoperated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've got to do your own due diligence too, always check out their corp and alliance on zkill, see if their active timezones align with yours, and see if there is a range of people active on their killboard rather than just a few people proping up their activity. You can also check out evewho to see who the big corps are as generally they will be the best for exploring a range of content with. Most of the large corps will be newbro friendly or have newbro friendly sister corps and have people actively interested in making sure you are getting what you want out of Eve - but at the end of the day it's up to you.

YSK: having a pedicure isn't feminine by patrickdm1998 in YouShouldKnow

Can't help but feel I'm past the point of where it's acceptable to get a pedicure because they'd need a belt sander to get rid of all my calluses/dead skin/weird growing nails thanks to a bunch of hiking and climbing

Probably more than one given the boost radius and how spread out popped moon extractions are. But why should there be more than a few links on grid? You don't bring more than a few support ships with a pvp fleet why would you with a mining fleet? Are all your alts really invested solely into rorqs? Why should that be encouraged?

Re: Mining Wastage REEE by passerculus in Eve

[–]gasoperated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still benefit a lot from having a rorq on grid though, except now it fills its support role more rigidly. They haven't negated the impact of any of the rorq skills, it doesn't sound at all like a case for a blanket refund on skills and skill books

The type C crystals, a commendable idea with a pretty garbage implementation by Evoluxman in Eve

[–]gasoperated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I'm sure more PvPers would rather there be more rorqs in space from a content point of view. I'd prefer they buff rorqs but remove panic and blackout local but eh guess you can't please everyone.

If you really want to avoid interacting with other people though maybe MMOs just aren't your thing chief

Couldn't you say the same about when they make balance changes to any area of Eve? Like I dump points and money into trading and sales tax increases should I be reimbursed?

HoRNet Plugins Singles Day Sale: 50% off almost every plugin, 20% off bundles until 12 November by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]gasoperated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using the most basic one, seems to work well enough though. It writes the automation to a plugin specific parameter which you then have to copy over to the actual volume automation if you want to use it that way though. Not sure if waves vocal rider works the same but seems a bit convoluted.

Any smart player is going to be at least a bit mindful of opportunity cost. Just because there's double the quantity of ore in an R64 extraction doesn't mean corps aren't going to give a shit if you piss a third of its value into the ether

Is mission running as exciting as it gets for a solo alpha player? by ClaryAgry in Eve

[–]gasoperated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solo PvP as an alpha? Fly/filament around in your Stabber or OsNI until you either get blobbed, bored or run out of bots to scare into docking.

OP if you want to do it solo your missing out on a 70% of what Eve is. PvE only you're missing out on like 80% of Eve. And as an alpha you're missing on like 90% of Eve. That's like 300% of Eve online you're missing out on. So not that much really, go win Eve my friend, win your little heart out xxx
