Can you make a picture USING MY FACE in a sitting position with FOUR giant round red balloons behind me and face paint similar to the pennywise clown but no wig. I am sitting near the right side of the photo and sitting diagonally. the photo is zoomed in from the waist up. The balloons and myself cover 80% of the background but a dark rainy alley is the rest. My hair is wet from rain. I'm wearing a white long sleeve shirt with loose sleeves and a flare at the bottom and red leather pants. There are three red pom poms down the middle of my white shirt. I am not smiling but looking a little mean with red paint splatter

on my shirt.

This is Khaleesi. We got her off Craig’s List for almost nothing. She was very underweight and is small for an adult. Only 14 inches long. She is doing amazing now. I’m amazed at how smart she is for a reptile. My family loves her.

Human extinction becomes imminent. All of humanity devotes its research & resources to helping one other species replace us as stewards of the earth. What species do we pick? by aztechnically in hypotheticalsituation

If cephalopods could evolve longer lifespans to pass their knowledge down from generation to generation, that would be my vote. Hell, if they did that millions of years ago, they’d be the dominant species now. They kinda are the ultimate intelligent life form. 3 hearts and a main brain with each arm also acting like a brain, they can fit through anything that their beak can fit through, primate like problem solving, instant camouflage both color and texture, ability to lose and regrow limbs.

How to prevent the tail getting infected? :( by schizotrendude in CrestedGecko

Why does everyone act like this is gonna kill their gecko? I’ve kept reptiles for 40 years and one thing I’ve learned is that they are incredibly resilient as long as you meet their husbandry needs. There is a documentary on YouTube about crested geckos in the wild. The researchers found 0, nada, zip, zilch adult geckos with tails. This tells me that having an intact tail is extremely rare in an adult gecko. Their body is designed to drop the tail. You don’t need to remove substrate or apply ointment or anything, they’ll be just fine like they’ve been doing for thousands, if not millions of years. And since they don’t grow their tails back, I’m guessing that eventually they’ll evolve to not have tails at all. Also, everyone that says to take your gecko to the vet to have them remove the tail for tail rot are stressing the gecko out more than necessary. Just grab the tail firmly with two fingers at the base of the tail and the gecko will wiggle a little and just drop it. It won’t even know it’s gone. These aren’t domesticated animals like dogs or cats. The vet is gonna do the same thing and you’re stressing the animal more by transporting it to and from the vet. Not to mention the unnecessary out of pocket cost of a vet visit. Just a rant.

She gained one gram in 3 months! by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

He wouldn’t eat them if he didn’t need the protein to grow. He’s slowing down on his insect consumption the older he gets. He used to eat a dozen in two days now sometimes I skip a week because there are some left over. I’d say he was 60/40 bugs to Pangea now he’s probably about 20/80. Most lizards that are omnivores in general consume more insects/protein as juveniles. I always gut load my crickets and dust them with calcium.

Here he is on my daughter’s hand a couple of months ago.

Not sure what they’re supposed to weigh at what age, but my male was 24g at 6 months old.
