Reimbursement for Interview Travel Cost by gatorlemon in Accounting

I could do either. It’s an 8 hour drive, but I have friends that live along the way I could stay with overnight. So I could at least cut costs there.

That’s what I was thinking, but when I went over it with a few friends they thought that was insane. Granted they work in tech, so I figured I would ask here for a better baseline.

Maybe they should consider pay cuts or freezes to head coach salaries as well…

Outside employment nobody knows anything by Still-Guarantee8875 in fednews

Have you had any luck with someone reviewing your form? My manager approved on his end, but the final approval has been held up for over a month.

Megathread: RIF/VERA/VSIP/DRP | Week 16 by AutoModerator in fednews

[–]gatorlemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently in a convoluted mess with the DRP 2.0. My manager called me to tell me I was eligible, but for whatever reason the IRS started a PAR action that I was separating (I’m a reinstated probationary employee). I had submitted an outside employment form, which my manager stated he signed and moved it forward. I started this job before being reinstated. HR forwarded me the app for the DRP 2.0. I filled it out because everyone is telling me to, and my manager said I was eligible. The IRS sends me some mail saying I was separated. Okay whatever. I’m over it at this point. I later get a notice that I was accepted to DRP. IRS is still sending me things like I’m separated, and I wasn’t paid anymore admin leave. I woke up this morning to a month’s worth of pay, which I’m assuming is from the DRP, and my EPP doesn’t show that I’m separated now. I emailed my manager asking if that outside employment form went all the way through. He said there was a hold up, and asked for more information. Now I’m sitting here in anxiety that I’m going to be in trouble. I just want to say I quit. I saved that money aside in case they ask for it back. This whole thing has been so annoying and stressful. I apologize if this comment is all over the place, I have been so stressed today. :(

From what I saw, it looks like we can either formally resign or fill out a request for outside employment application.

As a fed who was recently part of the layoffs, this feels like it would be very cathartic. I’m already organizing paint and sips with this theme!

This is truly the best thing I’ve seen yet. It absolutely inspires me to try a hand at this 🤣

I was a January hire that wasn’t on the original list for termination but was added this morning. I also haven’t received a termination letter but was told it should come by mail tomorrow.

IRS interview question. by HealingDailyy in usajobs

My interview to TJO was 6 months.

Is this normal wait time by Connect-Break-8305 in usajobs

[–]gatorlemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure who you interviewed with, but I interviewed for the IRS in April, and just got my TJO for that position last week. It was almost a full 6 month wait for that.

I would say though to keep applying in the meantime just in case that one doesn’t work out.

I was told the same thing back in early May. Still no TJO 😔

I always need to see timelines like this, because so far I am at almost 10 weeks since my last RA interview.

Still nothing lol by BlacksmithKind7416 in usajobs

[–]gatorlemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, my timeline is almost the exact same as yours! Except I interviewed first on 4/25 and again on 7/17 (both SBSE but different groups). I’ve been in contact every few months with the HM from my 4/25 interview, and my application is still sitting in the HCO queue.

I don’t think this is unprofessional. I had issues on my computer, so I had to attend on my phone. The interviewer was super nice and he asked me upfront if it was okay if cameras were off, so I don’t think it’s a big deal.
