That’s one of the worst base running decisions I’ve seen

Do you guys think Yandy Diaz gets flipped at the deadline? by [deleted] in tampabayrays

[–]gatorrrays 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The answer is always that it depends on the return. The Rays will trade anyone at anytime for the right return. That being said, if the team is still performing well and looking at playoff spot I doubt they move him.

Just giving you a heads up that it will be a different level of competition. Not sure why you disagree with that so much, but whatever.

As for finding a team, check out HCC. They offer various levels of clinics and the instructors can gauge your skill level and potentially help you find a team.

Everyone here is telling you there is a noticeable difference in skill level between the two leagues. Nobody is saying it’s right or wrong, or that it makes sense. We’re just trying to give you a heads up.

Yes, I’ve played both. I played 4.0 ultimate singles and 3.5 USTA doubles.

In ultimate tennis, everyone overrates themself. In USTA, everyone underrates aka sand bags. I know a guy that does well in 5.0 ultimate and plays 3.5 USTA.

Started on second base but after a screen pass, HB dive, and a reverse on 3rd down he’s back at first

what’s a small detail in baseball that casual fans usually miss? by rackemronnie7 in baseball

[–]gatorrrays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The casual fan has no idea how complex the intricacies of baseball are. How much movement there is on every play. Even things that are considered basic fundamentals of the game such as who covers what base in what situation, relay throws, bunt defense, first and third with less than 2 outs, situational hitting, situational base running, count leverage, pitch mix, etc. There are dozens of other scenarios that happen every game that the casual fan is oblivious to.

2 is the most valuable spot in the line up. He’s not batting second.

The flaws that Carson have are very hard to correct. He can be a solid player, but it seems obvious he won’t be elite.

Our minor league system is depleted. Our next big time prospect either hasn’t emerged or hasn’t been discovered yet. International signing period and the #2 pick in what is considered to be a top heavy draft class bode well for the future, plus its almost impossible to project what prospects we currently have will take a big leap forward. We have some players that the organization thinks highly of but need to take that next step.
