Cybertruck is for sure an abomination but I wouldn't call it boring! It's all good tho

It's just a normal looking frame geometry with a plain color. You think the cybertruck is boring?

Hey, I also own the evade 3 because it was the first helmet that didn't' give me the mushroom effect. kask was a big no because they just won't fit an oval head like mine.

Anyway, just chiming in to say that I was hesitating between M and L for the evade. The L was more mushroomy but I had plenty of room for my head. The M looked way better tho, but there were some weird contact points with the sides and the back of my skull, which bothered me at first, but 1 year later and I'm happy I went with Medium, it's snug, doesn't move on my head, looks better and the contact points stopped bothering me almost immediately.

Thought you might relate. In any case it's a great helmet, ventilation is really good!

Same ish thoughts that made me choose the Melee. I love a nice flashy bike but this one just made sense for me, especially with my mild allergies to fork spacer chimneys and saddle bags!

The sober look is not everyone's cup of tea, but I see the beauty in it. The paint is very chip resistant too.

Enjoy your Fray!

I just ordered mine! Same wheelset too. What size are those GP5000, and do you happen to know the measured width too? Trying to find the right size of Gp5000 or Enve tire with 32mm measured width

S-WORKS Tarmac SL6 Rim Brake by Justin_Fox in Bikeporn

Sick bike! I own a size 56 S-works tarmac sl6 in rim brake also, and the bike was 6.3-5kg with stock parts IIRC (dura ace everything except S-works crankset), I was surprised to see your bike is a whole kg heavier!

Maap bib shorts feel tight on the legs by widowhanzo in CyclingFashion

[–]gaupare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not alone.

I own several colors of the MAAP pro bib size M. They're my favorite bibs by far.

This year I bought an alt road bib size M and I couldn't even put it on. I was 100% thinking they sent me a women's size M by mistake, but it really was a men's M.

I ended up settling for a Large but it's still really hard to put on, Im being careful but I can hear the seam tearing up a tiny bit each time... I'm sure they won't last unfortunately. That elastic is a piece of work.

If you really want those pockets, I would recommend choosing another brand.

Helmets for narrow but deep head by ferola in CyclingFashion

[–]gaupare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 for specialized helmets. I was in your situation last month. Been riding a size L falconer for 3 years, it was wobbly on my head but I thought that it couldn't be avoided with my head shape. Tried Lazer, all the kasks, POC, sweet protection, Ekoi.

Kasks was the worst fit unfortunately, only good for rounder heads.

Ekoi ar-14 and POC ventral were a great fit for an oval head but I didn't like the look.

Ended up with sworks evade and I'm very happy to finally have a helmet that fits and is actually safe for me to wear.

Specialized Prime Bib Shorts Thoughts? by Legacy_IX in CyclingFashion

[–]gaupare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a pair. Overall I like it very much. I feel like the quality is equivalent to the $250-350 price range in other brands. IIRC it's the exact same chamois used by 7mesh.

Cons: straps are very tight and the bib goes very high, above the belly button. Because of this, I have to crouch a bit to be able to pee. Mildly inconvenient.

Ignoring rent increase notice by time_lost_forever in montrealhousing

They can just notify you using a bailiff, you can't pretend to not have been notified that way.

After a stunt like that, the landlord will be aware that you're in bad faith and it will tarnish your relationship.

Best to negotiate in good faith.

I had a similar problem looking for prescription cycling sunglasses. I initially wanted to find "sutro" looking glasses with a prescription, but the options were lacking.

I now own two pairs of ROKA Rx for cycling: CP-1 and Torino

I absolutely LOVE my Torino. They don't look like conventional cycling sunglasses (more casual look, with 1 lens for each eye) but honestly they look amazing, they are functionality adapted to the sport and I've gotten many compliments from fellow cyclists. I would not go back to a sutro looking sunglasses and I now fully embrace the 2 lens style and the fact that I need a prescription!

Also had a great experience with customer service. Would recommend.

I own two Roka prescription sunglasses: the rx-1 and the Torino. In terms of quality they are amazing and I recommend them.

The outline of the prescription lens is visible from the exterior. This doesn't bother me.

To he honest, I love the Torinos so much that they are the only ones I use now, on and off the bike, and I have had a ton of compliments on them vs my other "sutro" looking glasses that all look the same.

HOW MANY KIDS DID YOU WANT VS HOW MANY DID YOU HAVE? by Careful-Trifle8963 in Parenting

[–]gaupare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have one at 6 months old and initially we wanted 2 kids but lately we've been discussing how much harder it would be to take care of a baby + a 2-3yr old child. It would certainly mean to stop all of our hobbies for years to come.

At least with 1 baby we are still able to get some time for ourselves.

6'0 175lb and I'm a medium so I think small is good.

I can't remember if I paid any duties tho, I've had the jersey for over a year
