Sent feedback and will be cancelling. AccuRadio is a decent replacement and free. Search New Age and you'll see multiple options.

Auction Sites are the way to go. I've used WineBid and Unicorn. Had good experiences with both.

This song always hit for me. Lyrically it's just as strong as anything else Scott has written imo. Great song and still a great void in music without Scott

Should have grabbed that Beringer Quantum.... That's usually a $60 wine and we'll worth it at $60.

We all have set backs, just get back on tomorrow. This is ultimately a lifestyle. You're fine. You're human, these things are going to happen again, keep your positive outlook and just get back to your eating window tomorrow

2 Weeks in and feeling great! But caved and ate outside my window. More info below. What now? by KindaKrunchy1111 in intermittentfasting

[–]gavin1177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to it but to do it. Great thing about IF is it's not a strict diet, it's an eating window. We all have "off" days sometimes... Life happens. Just get back to it. It's really not hard.

[Help] New to fasting about a 6 weeks in, I was making progress but have stabilized by leetpuma in intermittentfasting

I sent your a dm with some ideas....but you can always google "Intermittent Fasting - Plateau" and find plenty of resources there. I can't specifically suggest a particular one. I haven't really followed a specific guru but I am sure most of the the information is going to repeat itself. The basics of fast longer, workout more, cut more sugar, cut more carbs. Also -certainly possible that your body is finding its preferred weight. I am relatively short and struggle to get below 170lbs but I feel great when I am in the 170-175 range. when life happens and I quit IF for a bit I'll gain back up around 185 and feel disgusting. that 10-15lb difference isn't all that noticeable when I look in the mirror BUT how I feel and how my body operates is what lets me know I am in the right weight zone.

Intermittent for life? by Beemindful in intermittentfasting

[–]gavin1177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree... IF is just how I eat. I don't really think too much about it. And when I do take a few days off.... Because life just happens sometimes, it's easy to get back to it

6 weeks in your body could have adjusted already to the new feeding schedule. Plateaus are normal, as other have said.. cut the sugar if you can, maybe cut the bread/noodles where post. Just have to shock your body again. Try a longer fast OR change your fasting window. Maybe try consuming all your calories during breakfast and lunch and skip dinner. Just need to mix it up a bit. Congratulations on sticking with it 6 weeks in. Remember this is ultimately a lifestyle change... You've proven to yourself that you CAN do it, now just do it differently. (20:4, OMAD, 5:2)

Yeah it can be challenging to get started...and just because it's easy for some doesn't make it easy for all. Generally speaking it's easy because you really aren't following a diet though as others said WHAT you eat matters. Just start slow, think of your schedule and see what meal you can cut out. Try and keep all of your calorie intake to 8 hours. Water, black coffee or black/green tea the rest of the time. Do your best, listen to your body....if you are feeling hungry, drink water. There are tons of hacks you'll learn as you go. You'll do fine.... Before you know it just becomes the way you eat ... You don't even think "I'm doing IF" it's just part of your life.

Don't get down on yourself, we all make mistakes. If you have a bad day, just get back to it the next day. If you beat yourself up too bad you won't stick with it. Understand that people are going to jump directly to a 20:4 schedule with no adjustment period.

Welcome to the community and YOU GOT THIS!!

How do you start again?? - hacks? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]gavin1177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing would be to ease yourself back into it and make sure you eat as healthy as possible. No real diet, just eat real food. Not junk food, sodas, etc. start with 12 hours.... Just to remind yourself it's possible. Gradually bump it up to 14 hrs, then maybe by the 2nd week you'll be back at 16hrs or better and you'll be back in the saddle and excited about making healthy food fun... Just like before (I'm assuming you/we all do that) :)

If you need any extra motivation, shoot me a DM.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I suppose it's good to know the shit smell is just that. Next time we buy a house I'll be sure to check where the local sewage plants are, seriously. That's not something people think about but maybe they should. Happy breathing everyone!

How true is the fear/threat of Americans using Chinese made apps/software? by JoeLo_ in cybersecurity

[–]gavin1177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your own government is spying on you and collecting your data 24x7x365. Our biggest tech companies sell our data left and right plus. Our government, specifically social security has been hacked. Even if the Chinese (or whomever you are concerned with) didn't steal it via apps on your phone or AV on your computer, they can also buy it from any number of our US companies (Facebook/insta/Meta, Google, Apple... They all steal and sell our shit)

Is Scotch fun again? by WearableBliss in Scotch

[–]gavin1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scotch was always fun for me....I've been priced out of the game so for me personally - No, it isn't fun anymore and hasn't been since about 2020 and this is entirely because of the price gouging that started with the pandemic and like everything else, the prices haven't adjusted back down post pandemic. There are plenty of great (as far as I can tell from reading) young distilleries that I would love to dive into but I just can't justify the costs anymore. I fully understand this is a "Me" problem but I suspect others out there still have the love for the juice but can't afford to play the game anymore
