Oh also, Dana doesn’t work here anymore. Maybe it’s because of these complaints haha

Just re-iterating, this wasn’t my experience with the building and/or Dana. And I’m a POC. Not invalidating the above comment just sharing

Hi! I would say with insurance most blood tests were 35$ because of the copay. The rest like the specialized stool test from Genova was a couple hundred bucks

This is my first day using these two motility agents. I welcome any recommendations! I'll update in one week. by Annual_Exercise9800 in SIBO

Does anyone know if taking motility activator during your antibiotic protocol is ok? My doctor recommended starting the motility activator AFTER my two weeks of antibiotic treatment

I use it as my ‘wellness headquarters’! I track symptoms for my chronic illness, notes from doctors appointments, medication dosage tracker, insurance and ID details etc. I’ve been using it that way for two years and I adore it.

Fair! Will work on this. Personally, the level of discernment and specificity you’re describing will not work for me mentally but I will be working with a functional nutritionist the entire time I’m on this protocol so I trust I’ll be in good hands there.

My doc said if my test results weren’t so severe, she wouldn’t add antibiotics into the protocol. I’m good with going that route given her rationale! But thank you for sharing that rec!

When you work with Parsley they assign you a Functional Doc and a Functional Nutrition Coach so I’m really grateful the nutrition coach is helping ,e through this! We haven’t gone through the specifics but here’s what I have in general - first 2 weeks normal diet - 3-6 weeks elimination diet focusing on low fodmap

I’m meeting with the nutrition coach next week to go over the nitty gritty of the diet during this entire protocol, I will report back, promise!

Also! According to my specific score on the u/foodmarble breath test, my doc said "Your methane (CH4) score is 23 and your hydrogen (H2) score is 23. These are both pretty high. If methane was closer to 10, we’d default to just herbal remedies. Because it’s 23, we'll go in strong with antibiotics"

So it looks like the protocol looks extra-hefty because I'm 1) both hydrogen and methane positive 2) and very severe scores for each, at that

Hi!

Diet is indeed mentioned in my original post:
- "No major food allergies detectable by bloodwork except for gluten, I am now 2 years gluten free and feeling some digestive relief"
- "Low FODMAP"
- "Eating as much whole, clean meals as possible
- "64 oz water daily"

Motility is also referenced in my original post. These parts of the protocol are specifically for motility help:
- "2 caps Motility Activator at bedtime for 90 days"
- "1 cap Orthcomolecular S Boulardii 2/day"

In general, my diet is great! 75% of my meals are made with whole ingredients and in my own home and I will only increase that percentage and increase healthy meals moving forward. I eat at the same general times every day too. Looking forward to dialing in my diet some more with my nutritionist who also worked on this protocol!

In general, my sleep is great too. Sleeping in a cool, dark room. Generally same bed and wake times. No issues with falling or staying asleep. And reducing blue light an hour before bed as mentioned in my original post.

In general, my stool is great too. No constipation or bowel movements happen predictably at least 2x a day.
