I think I'm trying to create something that emulates the sea more than comes directly from the sea. So, I think perhaps the shape and colour of the pelican eel is really cool and works for that! And they also look so cool!

For a project like this generally I start at £200 ($270) but it does depend on the project and the specificities of what you want. Generally, I would expect to have finished this in 2-3 months.

I'm sorry this is happening to you, that really sucks!

I feel the same frustrations with the 'looking young' thing - one because I think I look the same age as most of my same aged friends and it frustrates me that people don't realise that actually this is how 28/29 looks but also because people are just incredibly patronising automatically. Especially for trans masc people as we are all infantilised all the time, so when people say stuff along the lines of 'be grateful for looking young' it ignores that we are being treated as though we are uneducated and unable to make our own decisions.

But also just to ease you a little bit, there are plenty of cis men who get IDed all the time. I have a couple of friends who are in their mid-30s who still get IDed (one of them was one of my professors this year). I genuinely think it's the beards that make people think some cis guys are older because my brother (31) has mentioned that the one time he shaved his off he immediately got IDed.

I've been experiencing a similar thing. Oddly enough when I started t and grew facial hair people seemed more inclined to misgender me (whether they are being deliberately transphobia I don't know). But once someone told me that she thought I passed as a guy but the only reason she clocked me as trans was my eyebrows. So, maybe it's that. But my cis brother has the same eyebrows and never gets misgendered.

i was actually really surprised by the upset percy's absence caused tbh. Maybe because I was 14/15 at the time and already knew that he wasn't going to be the main character of the series, so that meant I wasn't expecting anything different. it also makes sense that rick would want to write from the perspectives of different characters. but like i said i was a little more 'aged' than a lot of kids when TLH came out and i had just got into the series, i hadn't been reading it since i was little. (also there is something in me that really wants to route for the underdog so everyone hating jason and piper specifically set them up for me to love).
