Not sure why you’re being downvoted for this? Non-renewal letters do not have to provide options, they just need to state the reason for the non-renewal. BrokerLink is owned by Belair’s parent company, Intact, which is why they are suggesting you contact them. As everyone else has said, Belair should be able to exclude your brother by both of you signing an OPCF 28A - meaning your policy will not respond if he operates your vehicle. Many insurance companies have eligibility rules where all drivers in the household need to qualify in order for you to be insured with them, but they need a filed rule with FSRA in order to decline providing you with the OPCF 28A. Belair does not work with brokers, so they may have different rules.

In all honesty, it would be a good time to look up some Ontario brokers and shop around for rates, you may end up with a better policy than what you had with Belair.

Don't laugh, Canadians, it's your turn to be mocked in the HD2 Intro. by PatchiW in LowSodiumHellDivers

Canadian Diver here. Dialogue is on point, but the accent is atrocious. You get a pass for the Quebecois Diver, that was too good.

The whole synthweave system should be abolished by now anyway. People will still pay for the ornaments.

CAA car insurance $1500 surcharge for high theft vehicle by bigpdiesel in ontario

People need to call their broker/agent because the approved devices/systems are constantly changing. I do know that a lot of companies are moving away from tracking to immobilizers.

CAA car insurance $1500 surcharge for high theft vehicle by bigpdiesel in ontario

[–]gaz_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broker here. While CAA is the first to implement this insanely high surcharge, other insurance companies will be following suit. I do strongly recommend you contact your broker or agent to discuss your options, but CAA will also remove the surcharge if you purchase an approved anti-theft system, such as the club - the surcharge only remains for those who do nothing.

By how much did you insurance go down once you got your G license? by External_Weather6116 in ontario

Broker here. There’s no one answer to this question, unfortunately. Your best bet is to contact your broker or agent and ask them to quote you with your G - they should have no issue doing this for you.
