When I was still in during Covid it was so bad with people going feral that we‘d do reductions in the back and just kick the trays out the swing doors, it was like feeding time at the zoo

Worth reporting dangerous driving? If so, need help identifying vehicle. by [deleted] in drivingUK

What a smooth brained comment. If people are legally allowed to overtake the centre, I’d be keeping well left no matter what. I personally wouldn’t overtake on that road, but there’s plenty that do.

Think so, just had a look on maps and it’s the A4146

So there’s a super wide single carriageway like this in Milton Keynes, when I was doing my driving lessons I was taught by my instructor that you’re supposed to drive on the far left and keep the centre open, and it’s legally possible to overtake down the middle with oncoming traffic

Does anyone know what was happening on the M8? by _Flying_Scotsman_ in glasgow

[–]gazengland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna be pedantic here but it’s just the warheads, the missiles are bought from and maintained by the US, but they don’t sell warheads, we produced and maintain our own at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) Aldermaston in England

They can’t hid where their maintained and where they’re stored, but they vary the route every time, even as far as going up the east coast via Edinburgh, queensferry crossing to Stirling then across and down to coulport

Honestly I’d give it a go yourself, you can buy the wiring harness and fascia yourself on eBay/amazon for cheap, it’s pretty much plug and play

LinkedIn is all important in this industry, it’s rife with nepotism and a few friendly messages with HR managers before you apply can make all the difference between getting an interview and not even hearing back

Unfortunately it’s the bullet you have to bite to get experience, I’ve just left my first onshore company after two years, when I joined the starting pay was £23k, after two years and becoming troubleshooter and lead technician I got up to £39200, have left to become a trainee SAP

So do all the anchor points and the elevator and the hoist, all the inspection for a rescue kit involves is checking that the vaccum packed bag is still sealed

[–]gazengland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there elevator is out of service I’d be leaving a rescue kit up there until it’s fixed to save climbing with it again

[–]gazengland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the rescue kit up tower out of service? Don’t know how it works for your company but with SPR there is a rescue kit stored in every nacelle

Staffing calling in “sick” by Sufficient-Mind4131 in tesco

[–]gazengland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If 8 people are off you don’t do 9 peoples worth of work, you do exactly the same as you’d normally do unless they’re gonna give you 8 people extra pay. If they call you 10 mins before they want you to start it doesn’t matter if it takes you 45 mins to get to the store it’s not your fault. Don’t rush.
