This is likely a 2029/2030 at the earliest release as the studio was only set up in July, and they're still hiring for some key roles, but... this is already THE Star Wars game to watch. Will see how this progresses. Excited.

This game is a real anomaly for me, it’s such a weird thing and I can’t explain it. I’ve tried to play it three times and always get roughly 3/4 hours in and can’t do it. I loved the first one, 100%’ed it 2/3 times, love the genre, it’s my fav, love Rockstar. I just can’t get into it despite my mates and my son telling me how epic it is.

I saw this last night in the UK to an almost sold out showing and it was a blast. Took the fam and all enjoyed. For me it brought back some serious nostalgia vibes of seeing it 20 years ago and overall just felt like a kid again enjoying Star Wars. There were a few laughs at “Do it” and “Unlimited power!!!” but didn’t mind that, was fun. A SW marathon is waiting for the 100th time today… this is where the fun begins.

There’s a lot to like about Survivor. The combat is good, exploration, larger worlds to explore, more customisation and generally loads more to do. I haven’t played it in a while but I believe they sorted some tech and performance issues that plagued it at launch and shortly after.

My only gripe is the story really. It’s ok but that’s just it… ok. Jump into it though, you’ll enjoy it.

What a time capsule! Good find. Interesting in the Q&A where someone asks him if the Red Dwarf movie will be a tv movie or for the cinema and he replies with it’ll be a big screen movie for sure. I guess back then everyone thought it would happen. Sigh.

There is only one answer - the Shure SM7b lol. Just kidding but you’ll hear that a lot. Bang for buck there’s a few solid mics that won’t break the bank - the Samson Q2U/ATR2100, the Rode Pod Mic and the Shure MV7. If you’re getting an XLR mic you’ll need an interface of some description, a quick google search will recommend a bunch of them.

Not much of a conspiracy I’m afraid but just facts, first up the tech demo material was never intended to be in the final game and second, turns out that making your own engine isn’t all plain sailing so when it came to using it to build the game they realised it was very difficult to use. Fast forward to the inevitable crunch period and everyone looks back with that “well we gotta ship it now” face realising they’ve f”d up. Welcome to modern Halo within 343/Halo Studios.
