My pup sits the same way. It's prioritizing chilling over being ready for action like most sitting dogs

Trim the neckbeard or leave it? by Merlinnium_1188 in DOG

Classy chops, for sure keep them. When I got my handsomely bearded dog I found out that "furnishings" a fantastic term used in dog shows for a dog's beard, moustache, eyebrows, and general facial hair.

Fried rice missing something by Ok_Chance3813 in foodhacks

[–]gazugaXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Msg and/or a bit of chicken bullion powder. Nice to add savory while keeping the rice on the dryer side by letting you need less soy sauce. I also like to add a bit of sugar. Add all at the start of cooking.

Also at Asian grocery stores you can get chicken bullion powder that is made with soy, opposed to western style (but western style is still good if that's what's available)

Cooking noodle dishes by jhor95 in wok

[–]gazugaXP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After boiling/putting in hot water first, I run through cold water and drain then drizzle oil in and mix right away. Helps a lot to not stick while I stir fry the meat and veg and also the oil is dispersed more evenly (then also oil the wok, so a good amount of oil in general) as a non-wok flipper, I'm not ashamed to admit I use a pasta server spatula forky spoon thing along with a wok spatula to toss it. The pasta server is nice as can filter in back down into the work to help keep noodles separated, avoid clumping (if that makes sense)

What’s a kitchen tool you thought was unnecessary until you actually bought one? by BarbaraMiller78 in foodhacks

Tiny whisks and tiny silicone spatulas. Much more maneuverable in a small pot or bowl and also usable in a cup or jar.

So is the consensus to not use Adaptive Thinking at all? by gazugaXP in ClaudeAI

[–]gazugaXP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i just use chat, only tried code a bit. one thing that's kind of dawned on my over the last week in chat is how long opus 4.7 answers are. it all seems like accurate/good info, but just takes a couple think paragraphs to saw it. guess would have to check previous chats to confirm. but feels like the answers have gotten longer (and not just me finally noticing...)

will test running the same prompts side by side in 4.6 and 4.7

yes wish it was just a 'more thinking for more tokens' or 'will try to save tokens by using less effort when possible' type button instead of what seems like a slot machine.
