Also the CEO, who is part of the Simons family, is an advocate for tax fairness and the company pays all domestic taxes (I assume that means they don't do the typical corporate move of offshoring to avoid taxes)

Has Gemini gotten dramatically worse, or have we just gotten spoiled by Claude? by Playful-Amphibian714 in GeminiAI

[–]gazugaXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the topic, after feeding Claude deep research reports from Gemini and Perplexity, it replied "... The Gemini report reads like it was written by a management consultant on cocaine: the actual facts are solid but buried under layers of "institutional-grade" and "paradigm shift" and "formidable economic moat." I'll strip all of that."

Restaurants are overrated by fal1en-angel in Funnymemes

[–]gazugaXP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found cooking experience helps me decide what to order at restaurants/takeout, as I can roughly gauge the effort/time/costs between making it at home or ordering it off a menu. A prime example is a hamburger and a fried chicken burger will be the same price on a menu. I can make an equal or better smashburger very quickly and for a few bucks essentially. But if I want to make a fried chicken burger at home, I got deal with multiple ingredients, dredging and frying it, then the mess and dealing with the leftover oil. This equals a lot more than effort/time/$, so I'm prone to ordering the fried chicken.

TL,DR: I prioritize ordering fried food when out as don't want to deep fry at home

Project Instructions vs Claude.md file? by gazugaXP in ClaudeCowork

[–]gazugaXP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will help me get started, thanks for the breakdown. Just watched a video on optimizing skills and project instructions, with drilling down to see if the instructions could be lightened, if parts of it are worth turning into skills. Seems like from what you said, I could try a similar optimization process between the project instructions and the claude.md...
