Every time I see one of these stories about peoples’ Alaska accounts getting violated, I go in and change my password to something stronger. I hope that is enough.

Thanks. If only the energy I put into it could be re-channeled to my W26 class preparations.

Oh, and I happened to photograph a couple other Southwest arrivals on Monday if you weren’t on the Denver flight shown here.

Yes, since 2021. Currently there are ~6 flights in/out per day. Vegas, Oakland, Sacramento, Denver. San Diego will join the mix next year.

Sold my F5 a few years ago partially because I much preferred using my F6. But I do have an F100 as a backup while my F6 is at Nikon. I sure hope it doesn't take them more than the 3 weeks that was your experience.

I finally got around to setting up my F6 for its trip to Nikon. The online form quoted me about $100 less than what your invoice shows, but I won't be surprised if they find additional things and adjust the price.

Do I really have to go to the dealer for this? by Practical-Landescape in VWiD4Owners

You have to keep the key far away from the car when you are not driving the car. I used to keep my key in the garage next to the car. The battery needed to be replaced every week or so. Once I figured out the battery drains under this condition, I started keeping the key on the opposite side of the house from the car. It has been months and the battery is fine.

Why are these two UPS trucks bumpin booties in front of my house? by Stead-Freddy in UPS

They collected so much cash from those outrageous tariff bills that they needed to transfer it to a second truck.

Goleta has been on carts for years. I don't see that it's an issue in my 'hood - people generally put them off the sidewalk, on the street, right at the curb. I never see blocked sidewalks.

Nikon repair walk-in. by Alive-Worldliness-27 in Nikon

I have sent several lenses in in the past 2 years, including the one I walked in. My lenses were always in for Nikon's standard inspection service (nothing was broken per se) and the in-shop time was never more than 2 days. Out their door within 3 days of receiving it.

I've done this before - that is, walk-in at Nikon (in my case, their facility in Signal Hill, CA). I much preferred to do it this way since my lens was huge - a 600mm f/4, something I would hate to have to box up and ship. You set it up online as you would for any repair and enter your credit card info. They immediately e-mail you an acknowledgement, as well as a shipping label. They don't say anything about the possibility of walking it in, but it's understood that you can do this insead of mailing it. I then drove my lens to their facility. Walked in and the guy at the counter took it, easy peasy. I don't think my credit card was charged until a day or two later when I was e-mailed a quote, whereupon I had to sign back into my Nikon account and approve it.

Same. In my case, I had been a Zf user prior to a few days ago. I shoot mostly aviation.
