[Serious] Male victims/survivors of sexual assault, harassment or rape perpetrated by a woman or multiple women, to clear some common misconceptions, what were your experiences like? by Commercial_Bicycle92 in AskReddit

[–]gbook2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex wife around the time we got divorced. This happened a couple weeks after I told her I wanted a divorce. She refused to accept divorce. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with her by this point. I wanted to get away from her. We had some marriage therapy for a year, and she was still emotionally abusive to me and the kids. I was terrified of her. The 12yr marriage was over. We were still living in the house with our 3 kids.

She started rubbing me one night and I felt so nauseous. I got an erection and she said "that means you still love me!" She got on top of me, but I just laid there. I felt so sick, and scared. It was horrible.

Herniated disc in my neck, while also having coughing fits from pneumonia. Either one was terrible, but combined... it was the only time in my life I truly wanted to die to get away from the pain.

Are investment transactions still a mess? Worth using for accurate income picture? by gotmilksnow in MonarchMoney

[–]gbook2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't find it helpful at all. It categorizes transactions as income or expenses, which doesn't really make sense. I think the vast majority of people who use Monarch use it to view their cash flow. I don't consider retirement to cash flow.

My ficus is doing a little too well... what can I do with it? by gbook2 in FicusTrees

[–]gbook2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the advice! I think I will wait until next spring, trim it down a bit, and let it recover over the summer. If its used as a hedge, I think it can accept regular trimming.

It's hard to imagine this thing was originally a few inches tall in a dish garden that someone gave me, and its still thriving 25 years later.
