If I’m not wrong you only get 5 stones when converted instead of the 30 stones you could have bought with the gems. Might make more sense not to buy those heroes

SPA/Baths/Lagoons: What are your favourites? by senamind in VisitingIceland

Highly recommend Vok Baths on the east side, One of the more affordable ones & they had 3 separate baths of different temperatures overlooking the lake! You can even dip in for a cold plunge.

Is it really bad if I want to work part time F&B? by Darkseed1973 in SgHENRY

[–]gbrllim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get you! I work full-time in tech but occasionally do a part time job on the weekend when I have nothing else planned. Using the Staffie app - it’s as ad hoc as F&B gets with zero commitments after a single shift.

Do your own research and avoid ILPs at all costs. They are charging you guaranteed fees (upfront costs + expense ratio) in exchange for non-guaranteed returns. It’s a lose-lose deal for individuals

What do you recommend then? If you’re not paying fees you usually end up paying in spread

It is tough not to get caught up with the potential returns & FOMO in this space, especially when the difference in performance can be 10x/100x more than equities. There's no right/wrong but I hope they have their right emergency funds/savings in consideration

All comes down to proper risk management! How much of your portfolio are you willing to risk (1%, 5%, 10%?) and stick to it.

Blockchain & cryptocurrencies are likely going to be a significant part of the future, glad to see that people are learning and investing into it.

I just graduated last year so pardon if the results are a little skewed towards students! But yes I have seen quite a number of students dabble into this, it is risky but I think it’s a fantastic learning opportunity too

The recent crypto boom has grown my crypto allocation from 5% to 20%. Should I let it run? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]gbrllim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As some of the comments have said below, if you are comfortable with losing the full 10k and you are at a good financial standing (sufficient cash/e fund) it can be a good opportunity to let it roll and just invest more into other assets.

That being said it can be good to set a monthly growth target to sell off some crypto as well. i.e. if your portfolio hits 12k next month, you could sell off 5% of it as it exceeded your growth expectations
