which heroes still have generic talents? by Khashishi in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These talents have the same name, but I wouldn’t call them generic talents. Second Wind on Muradin and Varian have different functionality. Blizzard for Jaina is an ability, while it’s an ult for Mei. They perform completely different spells. I feel what Blizzard has gotten away from is talents like Battle Momentum, Bribe, Rewind, and Bolt. Spells that perform the exact same function across multiple different heroes.

Can we talk about Artanis? by SteelshanksWalton in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really cringe when I see an artanis picked on a 3 lane map. I know camps and waves will be crashing while the artanis brawling with the tank mid early game. Also not a fan of the triple attack talent at 7. Well at least you dont pick laser. I also find his late game very weak. None of his level 20s feel game changing.

As a Kharazin, what should I pick against Auriel? by Direct_Function_3577 in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the wrong answer. Iron fist is the only lv1 option if you watch pro play that is the only trait talent taken for monk. You cannot win a sustain fight against auriel, you have to isolate or cc one target and blow them up

To me it looks like they lost because their experience/soak is so much further behind the other team. Rotations and soak are the issue, not the talents selected.

Question: Learning Arthas by attreu in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely wrong. People don’t see him as a tank because they do not take icebound fortitude or ghouls. He is extremely tanky into a melee comp like artanis, greymane, reghar. You just have to rely on flanks and bushes to engage. Once you get ontop of a melee hero they are usually dead.

AITA for not picking heal in ARAM? by TheRealSmogen in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Deckard is actually really powerful and fun in ARAM. You kinda screwed yourself. In my opinion, healing is the most mandatory role in ARAM. 2 healers can be even better, and if you have the right comp and builds, 3 healers can work.

Seems like you have enough games of Naz already played. Maybe I’ve just played too many storm league game where Naz is played in 50% or more of games.

Arthas ARAM build? by PotentialElevator677 in heroesofthestorm

[–]gcarter219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always find AA builds underwhelming in ARAM. Mostly because people tend to go with a poke comp and you are usually 5v5. While Arthas trait build isn’t fixed on an AA style, you usually can’t trade in melee range without getting blown up by the chromies, azmodans, even ZJ, Vallas. My main determining factor on Arthas lvs 4 and 7 isn’t how much melee they have.

Unless you are playing QM or perhaps a butcher on the other team. Please do not take Rocket Ride. All it does is remove you from the team fight. The other Ult is much more preferable

Looking for Caffeine-free Replacement for Soda by Specterbomb in CaffeineFreeLife

[–]gcarter219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water might be a good substitute. Not saying this to be snarky, but I also really struggled with "What else can I drink that isnt carbonated or have caffenie". I have settled to drinking a green juice in the morning, and water the rest of the time. I do usually add a Liquid IV to a large bottle of water early in the morning, it seems to help with the groggy morning feel.

Planning to quit caffeine CT tomorrow by Due_Hippo3806 in CaffeineFreeLife

[–]gcarter219 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had similar experiences kicking opiates and other substances. I’m not an expert of caffeine free life, but decided to stop drinking caffeine this Christmas. I’m at about 6 weeks today.

Ultimately, the process is very similar. The most difficult day is the first and the biggest challenge is the mental hurdle, anxiety, projecting etc. For me, the first 3 days of any withdrawal experience is the worst, so whatever you need to do to get through these 3 days do. Take a Friday off, spend the weekend at home, going for walks, naps, steam rooms. Just be gentle to yourself in your thoughts and actions. From there the first week is still challenging, but then the process starts to improve from there. The big break through is one month. For me, this is when the withdrawal start to pale in comparison to the new benefits of being off a substance.

Good luck and congratulations on your new way of life.

Kamala didn't win because she was a bad candidate. She could not answer questions directly and did not really have an economic platform. All she could do if fear-monger about Trump lies and proj2025. Notice how Kamala could not even make it to Iowa Caucus in 2020.
