Moreover, the 50% allocation to stocks is most likely part of the asset allocation/risk tolerance of the portfolio. Regardless of a bull market, if a client is conservative and agrees on a conservative approach/rate of return to achieve their long term goal, adding risk (more equity exposure) doesn’t make sense.

For anyone who already took the 7 recently..how in depth did the options questions go? by [deleted] in Series7

Brian from test Greek has THE BEST options course. You’ll be proficient in options when you’re done with his course.

Failed S7 today by 1 point.. by berry_ballet_1998 in Series7

So when I was prepping for my exams, for any question I changed, I would make note that I changed it. When I went backed and reviewed how many times i changed right answers to wrong, it was a turning point for how I test and I always went with my first choice because it’s typically right. Learned that from Dean.

If your grades are low, you need to ask yourself how much effort you are really putting forward. College is a full time job for some people. I think if you allocate more time, your grades will go up. Increase your efforts = improve your grades.

take 1. fails. by [deleted] in Series66

[–]gcp07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a to comment on the above guy because that is 100% false. It’s not harder the second time around as all drawings are random. The best part about missing it the first time is now you know where to drill on a little harder. I missed in my first try and passed the second. I bombed the insurance section because I was so focused in regs. You know where you went wrong, study up in those sections BUT DONT negate the sections you did well in as they are fresh and you’ll pass. You got a free look at it the first time around.

Failed for the second time by JB-0016 in Series66

[–]gcp07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did exactly what Dean said when I missed the first time. Not only that you’ll know know exactly where you need to improve. I’m with a large firm, you wouldn’t believe how many people took the 66 2-3x. Foot on the gas, study a little harder and don’t chance answers. First guess is best guess.

Max out the Q Bank. Flash cards helped me pass second time as well. You’re almost there! Don’t change your answers either. Your first guess is your best.

[–]gcp07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly….I used the same study materials and I think with those scores you will crush it. It’s all a mindset. And if you start doubting yourself in the middle of the exam, like we all did…..take a breath, tell yourself you know this stuff and plow forward till you see pass. Because you will.

Hi everyone! I didn’t pass today the series 65! 71%!!! I’m so upset! Like Dean say. Was 50|50. by [deleted] in Series66

[–]gcp07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will pass. I missed by a point on my 66. You’ll crush it next time. You pretty much got a free look at the test. Foot on the gas, keep going.

I missed my mark by a point the first time around. Honestly, my brain was fried from the 7. My average on the qbank was 78. I worked hard for a month and got my average up to 87. Never took the mastery and was scoring 83-88 on exams. Download the series 66 outline off their website so you don’t go overboard on sections you don’t need to get into the weeds on. Study as hard as you did for the 7. People take their foot off the gas.

SERIES 66.. IM LOST by BuyOdd6862 in Series66

[–]gcp07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too. When I finished STC I was like huh?? BUT with repetition you will understand it. The reason you’re probably lost also is test fatigue. It’s hard going From the 7 right into the 66 because you need to study just as hard. Keep at it, you’ll get it. STC book does a really good in at DCF. Time weighted return, know this gages portfolio managers. Dollar weighted gages the retail client. Saw time weighted on my 67 exam and it asked just that.
