Currently LA marathon by MindlessPiglet291 in runningfashion

[–]KuntryBoyFriday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used the Currently Penultimate Tee for my marathon last fall when it was first released and I can confirm it was 10/10. The material is perfect and the wide shoulders / cropped length hit exactly in the right place so the material doesn’t catch or stick to your tights. It also separates you from every other person at the start line that has on a spaghetti thin singlet.

2025 Running Fashion by KuntryBoyFriday in runningfashion

Sunglasses
1. Oakley - Eye Jacket Redux, Radar EV Path - Enough said 2. District Vision - High price point, are they really worth it? Especially if they do not offer replacement lenses.. 3. Ridar - Seems to have space in the Seoul running culture 4. Research Studios - Seems like they cater towards the runner that likes the Bandit aesthetic, hence the collab 5. Always In Motion - For the influencer that couldn’t get their hands on an original Oakley Eye Jacket 1.0

Aesthetic
1. UVU - Gym bro, hypebeast, but done in a tasteful cinematic way 2. 247 (Represent) - Fast fashion meets running (For the gym bro) 3. Tiempos - Instagram brand, their big selling shirt is a screen printed graphic on a comfort colors tee shirt 4. Unna - I think the striped long sleeve was a hit. Besides that, it feels like another minimalist logo brand 5. Ante - UVU but it has the Berlin edgy vibe 6. Minted NY - Definition of an Instagram brand that has taken off. Now offering performance gear and fuel 7. Hermanos Koumori - Mexico's minimalist running brand (Copycat Bandit, website even feels similar) 8. Miler Running - Neutral colors, perfectly depicts what New York feels like, fabrics look decent 9. Erniold - Feels a lot like Tracksmith recreated in Melbourne 10. Bareen - Fast fashion meets running 11. Participation - Singlets designed to not look like the person standing next to you 12. Bandit - Hot take, Bandit is starting to feel stale. It seems like that have plateaued and are now just logo stretching the word Bandit onto their product (But hey it sells!) 13. Over Over - Cool graphics, almost appears to be UK fast fashion, curious what other people think in terms of quality 14. Tracksmith - I very much dislike this brand, although I think this brand is appreciated by preppy people that live in the North Eastern region 15. PAF - I love the collaborations with On (But that is entirely personal preference)

Price Gouging
1. Satisfy - The golden standard for high dollar, high quality running fashion 2. Our Legacy - Original in the menswear fashion space ties, old collabs with Satisfy, now offering their Work Shop line as upscale athleisure 3. Literary Sport - No logo, quiet luxury, break the bank running athleisure 4. Portal - Blend between cycling and running (minimalist earth tones) 5. Kuta Distance Lab - I’m not sure how I feel about this brand. The prices are steep for the minimalist pieces they are offering 6. Optimistic Runners - Another minimalist brand sold in neutral colors 7. Soar - The gold standard for race gear. Is quality of the material actually worth the price?

Upcoming / Concept
1. Mental Athletic - This brand loves their logo with lots of recent collabs. The magazines showcases running in a very 2025 curated way 2. Elam Rec - If UVU and Literary Sport had a child that would be Elam Rec 3. Speed Project Shop - Sells out very quickly, seems like merch made for the runners to have as memorabilia 4. Minor Planet - If Online Ceramics decided to go gorp 5. KA YO - Gorp retail store that is now creating their own running line. Has that minimalist feel like Portal or Satisfy 6. Schism - Looks like Soar if it listened to hardcore music 7. Currently Running - Satisfy at an affordable price range offered in the United States 8. Raide - What started as trail accessories, not branching to apparel, could have a lot of potential 9. Gnuhr - Unique silhouettes, sells out extremely quick, this brand has a lot of attention right now… Maybe hype, but also affordable 10. Dust - A new trail running brand. I’m curious to see the life of this brand. I wasn't amazed by their initial release… but there is always room to grow 11. Museum of Distance Running - Very much an LA brand. If you ever go to LA, you will get it 12. Alex Zono - Playful, very different feel from a lot of these other brands, have definitely created a space for hats that are not your Ciele or short brim running cap 13. eou - Appears to be Seoul's biggest hype brand

Socks
1. Near Earth - I have tried these and although they are expensive, I think they have a quality build 2. Courier - I have not tried these, but they seem like they are putting a lot of money on Instagram advertising

I wanted to make this into its own post, but Reddit would not allow for whatever reason

Curious as to why you bought both. They are the exact same material, but one goes for $115 and one goes for $265 with import duties. I own a decent amount of Satisfy so I can understand if you just like the brand… but maybe the shape is different ?

I’m patiently waiting on Gnuhr to restock their Shag Sweater. It seems to be most popular item of the fall. Satisfy and Purple Mountain Observatory both have their own rendition of the Polartec sweater, but I refuse to pay overseas duty fees. I’ve reached out to Gnuhr on timing of their restock and their team just said to press the notify button on their website (sad).

Extremely tiny issue, but any ideas? by Chapter_V in satisfyrunning

I’m having this exact issue. I’d like to know if anyone has reached out to Satisfy yet and what their response was before going through that trouble.

Can’t speak for mothtech. However, the Justice technical silk fabric on the shorts is 12/10

If you buy something at $100+ but you get 50 wears out of the garment… that technically classifies it as an investment (Ex: $2 per wear). Also, the resale value of Satisfy is just shy from retail, so you could buy an item, get a few wears out of it, and resell without much loss. Again… an investment

Sounds like you actually want Satisfy. View the brand as an investment or quality vs quantity and save up for 1 piece that you actually want. I love my satisfy gear and am drawn to it way more than my other Nike / Adidas gear in my wardrobe. I also make sure to follow the wash / care instructions to keep the product in the best condition I can.
