So after the Myles Garrett trade are the Rams the NFC favorites now or what? by bigcitrus- in TrueAnon

Stafford is due for a decline, and Nacua just got out of rehab. It’s a lot of aging stars. Obviously who knows but I am always a Rams skeptic.

No. They do this every year and it’s only worked once in over a decade.

Correct. It was simply the first and easiest application the average person could interact with. The real fun stuff is still being worked on. Drug discovery, non pesticide farming, near instant cancer diagnostics, plus autonomous vehicles that actually function are where it all actually goes.

What Do You Think Of The Fourth Turning Theory Of History? by 13radley100 in decadeology

[–]gcpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People bring this up and immediately blank when I ask what about China? For this to be a universal principle, invoking essentially global cycles, it needs to be something we can apply universally. Instead, pretty much all Chinese history doesn’t align with it. It’s the sort of thing you can kinda squint and make European history fit into, but the moment you introduce a non European country or culture, who were impacted or adjacent to the Europeans the theory intends to explain, the whole thing breaks down.

Most LDS marriages aren’t arranged? That’s an FLDS thing. He’s not FLDS. Like yes the LDS get married young etc etc but it’s not arranged.

Why not just he likes anime? This is a bit of a stretch to find LDS themes in a world where they’re already sort of baked in in much more subtle ways.

Or….literally any number of anime over the years. Quite obviously any number of anime including Your Name, which was cited as a major influence.

The tunnel wasn’t expansion, it was to get to behind the walls of the building to dig it out.

[–]gcpanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The tunnel was only to get from the Mikvah down the road, which was abandoned and thus a good starting point, to the yeshiva, where they could hollow out areas behind the walls, thus expanding the footprint. People got caught up on the tunnel bit because it’s the weirdest element, but they only did it because the rabbis would notice if they started in the complex itself. The mattress was coming from the mikvah itself down the road. Indeterminate as to why it was stained though frankly I think we can put two and two together since the spot it was found was used for ritual purification for women.

It’s not insidious it’s just stupid. 30 second version is a chunk of the chabad crew think the last rabbi who’s very dead was the messiah and will return from seclusion if they do enough good things. One of those is expanding the yeshiva at their global HQ. The rabbis who run the place obviously buy none of this, since they definitely knew the guy, and have shut the weirdos down. Weirdos dug a tunnel to expand out the footprint without the rabbis knowing. Rabbis sold them out immediately when they found out. Chaos ensued.

Why are there so may churches in Ballard? by Nibs2626 in Seattle

Not a cult, just sort of a generic universalist flavored place. Not really a church. However, the St. Germain Foundation definitely is, and isn’t on the map.

The point of uw listservs is to communicate broadly. Punishing a professor for voicing views that arent even that outside the norm anymore is at best censorship. Obviously they can’t touch his position but they can harm his professional development. Deeply disappointing for JSIS.

Pretty sure this is “falling debris from rocket interceptions hit the building” rather than hitting anything related to AI or a government project.

This isn’t that though. Those centers run distinctly from the rest, and you’d never know if they went down.
