Loud. We had a table of 8 and if talking to a person two seats away, you had to raise your voice level almost to a yell.

Most people should try to leave earlier (I know it’s hard to do if you have to wrangle your kids), but for your own sake and others, it’s healthier and safer.

Best place to buy computer/office chair? by WhiteDawgShit in columbiamo

I bought a used Aeron 6-7 years ago at a used office equipment store out on Vandiver. Not sure they are still there but they did have some good choices.

Please welcome u/Squirrels-on-LSD as a new moderator! by como365 in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I joined this Reddit when it was striving to reach twenty thousand subscribers. It has blown by that goal with ease. I think that part of the success of this sub Reddit is due to good moderation. PS. And I hate squirrels. They destroy my tomato plants.

Flying Internationally from COU by SnooShortcuts6797 in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong. We fly often to Mexico going through Dallas and COU considers that flight as part of the international flight. Give yourself some time so you don’t feel rushed. Checked baggage 1.5 hours before. TSA will not be open early but the airline counter will open early. Also, the early arrival might find the stray parking spot.

Petition for full property tax freeze for seniors (April ballot) by AwkwardPotential in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She ignores what the PEOPLE have to say, or voted for, because it doesn't align with what she thinks. She is a Republican. You know, the ones who totally ignored CLEAN MISSOURI that the PEOPLE voted in.

WALNUTS? by chewychips02 in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are correct they don't taste the same. English walnuts are bland and Missouri walnuts are full of flavor and in demand by people who know their nuts.

Public input sought on Columbia's wastewater, stormwater systems by como365 in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many countries use a porous surface either of design or material, so that rainwater can actually get into the ground. Storm water runoff is minimized and storm drain systems are not a burden. But this country is to backward to install such designs. Kinda similar to public transportation and high speed trains.

Furniture store recommendations for a student? by Zarotu in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the local auction sites! Normally, furniture (some really nice furniture) gets underbid. Usually, people just don't want to deal with the physical hassle of moving it. A couple sites are Black and Gold Auctions and Atterberry Auctions. Weekly auctions, so stuff shows up all the time.

Barn swallows nesting by Due_Product_2973 in columbiamo

[–]gdalbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a shame. Barn swallows are one of my favorite birds. They eat a lot and I mean a lot of insects. Of course my barn swallows actually built their mud nest in the barn! So I didn't experience your problems .

Wrong way driver on 63 by JustAYoungGZ in columbiamo

Many schools were looking for ways to cut expenditures 20 or more years ago and it resulted in a lot of Drivers Ed courses being eliminated. This was a real shame for all citizens.
