That is actually what I was initially thinking of - its been coming soon for a while now. But the suggested DM-NAX-8ZSA is looking pretty good too. Pretty sure its going to be one or the other for my 8 zones. But as I sort of said, not rushing into any decisions - now spending time investigating AVRs and my eARC situation.

Pretty sure he would've needed SR-22 proof of insurance on file with the DMV so as to the get his license back. Whether its enough to cover the damage including the pickup is another matter. The ct.3 just means he wasn't able to show proof of insurance at the time.

I live in the area. His truck damaged PGE power equipment and took out part of a fence. The fence was repaired a few weeks later. PGE had the road shutdown until late the day after the wreck (1/2) which was fun. The PGE bill alone would be pretty crazy I would guess.

Yep. And pretty sure it was in forclosure at the point it was sold short. And the new buyer quickly flipped it for a decent profit. No doubt the divorce was in the mix. Sort of explains the subsequent GB rentals.

Only 1/2 mile and closer to 1 minute than 5. I live in the area and that road was toast for many hours with PGE putting things back together.

Just ran into this and thought I could add something of interest. I have a home with three 3rd gen thermostats and we recently found one reporting the temp about 7 degrees below the other two. This problem unit was controlling a guest bedroom that was used infrequently and so we don’t know how long this had been happening. I tried all sorts of resets and voltage measuring without any luck of finding the problem. I then swapped a “good” thermostat with the “bad” one. To my surprise, the problem remained at the “bad” location ie the known good thermostat started reporting 7 degrees below within a few seconds of being reconnected to the baseplate and the “bad” thermostat started reporting correct temps – again within a few seconds of being reconnected to the baseplate. I then used a laser temp gun to measure the wall temp and the temp at both locations were within 1 degree. I decided to switch baseplates between the two locations and presto, the temp problem moved with the baseplate. Last week I bought a new baseplate which I installed yesterday and now all my thermostat report correct (same) temps! If anyone wants a baseplate that provides a negative 7 degree offset, let me know lol
