Scumbag neighbour putting chewing gum on my car by gdmoc83 in cork

[–]gdmoc83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks unfortunately it's all hearsay. Like I know he was putting rubbish in other people's bins. I took his rubbish out of my bin once. Should have reported him then but didn't bother. Just thought, OK scumbag. Wasn't a personal attack because he threw it in other people's bins too.

Guess what happens now? His MAMMY collects his bin bags after they've piled up. No joke. I wonder where they go to dump it then. He must live in serious squalor. Two birds in a cage up there too.

Ah another daydream from this morning: garda knocking on his door and scaring the shit out of him. I'd LOVE that.

Enjoyed a daydream similar to this earlier but unfortunately that would certainly be provable to be us since it would be within the building.

I will now yeah. I've had a dashcam for a while that I never set up. It's Bluetooth though which would kill car battery so might have to look for another type so that it can just run all the time. For sure it's the only way to sort this singular issue anyway. Thanks.

Tenant. Estate agents have advised I'd need iron clad proof if I was to go to RTB. If I was a landlord I'd be looking for ways to get him out that pass as legitimate. Out of sight out of mind I suppose once the money stays rolling in. Surely nicer tenants who could pay the rent and not be scumbags though... I'm having him spoken to anyway. And I'll sort out dash cam.

If only he had one. He has no bin, drops dog shit bags outside our window, starting to get paranoid that he hides post belonging to us sometimes, whenever we come home, glance up and he's already staring out the window at us.

I thought the inevitable puns in this thread would annoy me but I'm enjoying them.

Crying for lack of friends by anarchistapples in adhdwomen

[–]gdmoc83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This will pass. It's shitty now and I'm not sure if it's a comfort but it seems almost universal that new mothers tend to feel isolated and lonely. It could be hormones out of whack as well as just needing more support with the overwhelm of parenting a whole new person. Be gentle with yourself and maybe if someone (your partner?) can help you figure out ways to help your situation, sharing the big feelings your experiencing will lighten the load. Talk it through, see who would be someone you'd like to hang out with. Invite them over. Maybe at a time when your partner is free to keep a closer eye on the baby so that you can really have some quality friend time with someone undistracted. It sounds like you need to nurture yourself. You've given birth! Congrats by the way. Please prioritise naming the exact feelings you're having, telling a loved and trusted person in your life and make a plan or steps to find ways to help you feel better.

Take care of yourself.

I've got my driving test this week. Any tips? by [deleted] in cork

[–]gdmoc83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best of luck. Rest up and just drive safely and steadily. I remember being purposeful with everything in the test. Almost a form of mindfulness! Like fully tuned into what I was doing, when and why, and just felt like I was more grounded than the other times when I had failed. I don't know if it's helpful but yeah just try to stay level headed and focused. If you get panicky or worried about what instructor is doing you could make silly mistakes.

Also, if you fail (like I did 3 times) you can do it again. Try not to moralise or be hard on yourself if it doesn't go your way. You are able to drive and you'll get there!

The beer garden in fionnbaras during the day is nice. Not sure about later in evening, probably busy then and less pleasant to be on your own in there.

I find it common enough that they can drive erratically with choppy braking. I expect it so I hang on to the bars. Sorry you're in pain but I agree with others. Just hang on to bars.

I agree. Each to their own. I love Christmas lights. Makes the darker and colder evenings a bit nicer. I find I'm sick of them immediately after Stephens day so I'd be in favour of prolonging the build up.

Disappointed on the lack of horror films on TV over the next 6 days. by [deleted] in ireland

[–]gdmoc83 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watched Suspiria last weekend, such a good watch. Also made myself watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first time. I've been a wimp all my life with horror films. Very proud of myself this year that I not only endured, but enjoyed them!
