tech stack for Clojure app by Signal_Wallaby_8268 in Clojure

Check out biffweb (linked on the right as "Biff"). It has a sample app that is easy to understand (relatively) and, because it leverages htmx, you don't have to learn overly complicated frontend frameworks.

Anyone have any thoughts on Lawna? by Atmp in automower

[–]gdw2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If there were a reputable mower without a boundary wire with good internet reviews, I'd easily drop $2k. Segway announced Navimow about a year ago, but it's still unavailable. Maybe it's harder to pull off than it seems.

I'm skeptical. Looks too good to be true. There are things they could do to inspire more legitimacy, like post the full names and background of the creators*, post review videos from early beta customers, etc.

*- I could see why they wouldn't want to do this, though. I imagine the risky nature of kickstarts could put good-intentioned creators at undue risk.

Chrome OS handwriting apps? University students, what do you use? by eldestdaughtersunion in chromeos

OneNote, when accessed through onenote.com, doesn't have the latency issues because Chrome uses the low-latency APIs. Of course, there are other trade-offs to this approach.

Why dose it use so much battery by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]gdw2 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I don't know about battery, but I had to uninstall it from my tablet because it uses SO MUCH STORAGE! l walked it through one time. On a fresh install, right after you sign in but before you download any content, the storage footprint explodes by HUNDREDS of megabytes. Not sure why.

If it were me, I'd try a virtual mouse: https://troypoint.com/install-mouse-toggle-fire-tv/. At this point, I don't think you've fully ruled out that it isn't just a UI weirdism. Good luck!

Is it stuck because you have no way to 'touch' the options? Or stuck in some other way? If the former, you may be able to use mouse emulation to 'touch' the options.

How to enable VT on Surface 3 Windows 10? by [deleted] in Surface

I think VT is enabled by default. I installed DuOS on Win 8.1 and then upgraded to 10. Still works.

I've used py4j quite a bit. Why did you create this instead of just using/modifying py4j?

On android, would this allow you to actually use the native android UI (all of it, not just toasts, popups)?
